Lets start with the handling of the pandemic. Remember two weeks to slow the spread and then that two weeks became two months and threatening six then a whole damn year. And then there was this. Stay safe by washing your hands and covering your cough and staying home if you are sick. Masks do not work for the general public in preventing them from getting controversies. Lawrence then a few months later they changed their mind saying that they were trying to stop a Run On Ppe when it came time to reopen schools, the federal government gave states the cover to keep them closed. Even when we knew it was safe for our kids to return. Then they lied to us saying they didnt cave to the teachers unions on reopening guidelines only to have the head of The Union come out and admit they did just that. How about immigration . For months the Biden Administration got up on the podium and told us that there was no crisis at the border when we could see for ourselves it was exact opposite. And now months later, after finally admitting there was a crisis, they told us Kamala Harris was going to fix it. Once again, we can see for ourselves. Now severing infrastructure. Even things that are not child care, paid leave, caregivers. Those are the same things as bridges and tunnels but somehow even more expensive. They tell us Climate Change is going to end the world in 2 years. They told us there was russian collusion. They tell us that every part of our government is racist and desperately needs to be fixed. Look, we know we are not perfect but things are getting better every day. And its not just about telling the truth. Its about competent governance. I dont trust the government to respect my freedom, protect my civil rights or even spend my tax dollars with a shed of responsibility. I dont even trust them to properly fix my potholes. And to be clear, this is nothing new. We have not trusted our federal government for a long time. The last time more than half of americans trusted the federal government was in 2002 and the second year of the bush administration. And in hindsight we probably should have had not been so trusting then. The second thing, lawrence, that im not surprised by is the number of people that distrust the government. But i would actually say here is my element of surprise. Why isnt it lower . You laid it out wonderfully, lawrence. Every bureaucratic acronym has shown you who they are in the past 17 months. Cdc, fda, doe, fbi. I dont care what bureaucracy you pick, they have revealed themselves. They cannot be trusted. They have played us. They manipulated us into covering our face with cloth when we walk around outside. While keeping our children at home. I talk about truth and honesty, lawrence, because it impacts our everyday lives. My kids have been staring at a zoom screen, lawrence for 17 months because i Cant Trust the people in charge it matters. Lawrence Im Afraid we are not going to get those liberties back. Buck, the interesting thing is that more democrats trusted the government. Im guessing you are not surprised by that. Can i just also say thank you to both of you guys. Of course not only do democrats trust the government more what people are seeing, guys, is that the Democrat Mindset actually reins supreme within the federal government. Have you this mentalities that the government should be much more involved in Evidence Aspect of your life and all of the decisionmaking that goes on daytoday and it put that on steroids. It just strengthens what was already there. We have been talking about the deep state and what they did to Donald Trump and there is still the no real accountability for that i think that was also a moment of reckoning for the country, finally we understood that there are political actors within the fourth branch of government. The unelected bureaucracy that is there. I mean the big joke at the State Department is not real will you a Joke President s come and got department is forever. Guess what, guys . Thats the america we are actually living in toted. Many of these agencies failed as as will pointed out. Lawrence will, i want to talk about the civil Liberties Aspect of this. Because americans decided that we were going to give them up in the middle of a pandemic now. I warned a lot of folks on Cable Television that this was going to happen. The you know, fearmongering that you got it all wrong. That you got to be patient. I think we have set ourselves up not to get those liberties. What do you say . Do we get them back eventually . Well, heres the thing, lawrence. I was actually watching Fox A Little Bit earlier today. And dr. Marc siegel was talking about the power of fear over the past year he had an interesting line. He said fear is the most powerful Human Emotion that everyone walks around with and is motivated by. It outpaces rationality. It outpaces ambition. Fear is our Base Level instinct. In the past year we have allowed fear to give away our liberty. We have been afraid of everything. We have been afraid of walking outside. And so are we going to gather back our national confidence, our national risk tolerance, who we are . I mean, we are the people who pushed west. We loaded up in wagons and risked life and limb. We start small businesses. We are entrepreneurs. We are a risk tolerant nation, a confident, bold nation. Look at us today. Does that remind you of the people that created this great country . Im afraid, lawrence that were going to have a big fight on our hands regaining those Civil Liberties and also, lawrence, our national identity. Lawrence thats a good point. Buck, will talks about walking down The Street. Government has one role, really, keep us safe. And they want to take the guns away. But they dont want to keep us safe. You can go to every major city. Look at the stats and see murders are up. Violent crimes are up. Sexual assault up. And they are not doing anything about it. Well, i have got to tell that you that great editorial from Heather Mcdonnell of the Wall Street Journal earlier this week just laid out the numbers. The numbers dont lie. But also the timeline of this. We see that these cities are getting more violent across the country, pretty much every major city with very few exceptions big increases. Double, sometimes triple digital increases in homicides. Initially i know that a lot of the Democrat Media was trying to say this was because of the pandemic other countries, guys, they have actually had decreases in violence during the pandemic which makes sense far left human interaction. Far left just seeing other people on The Street, at bars, at dlubs clubs, at all the different places where we intermingle. What we have to do is what really caused this . When you see the numbers spiking and you Look at the timeline, you see that the mo against Law Enforcement, which was a big part of the blm movement. That actually created the condition which people refer to as the Ferguson Effect where have you far less aggressive police on The Street protecting the innocent people all across the country. And the democrats are going to have a reckoning, guys, they have to deal with the fact that the political back lash to this is building because its real and their answers arent real answers. Thats another place where government has let us down. But the blame there is partisan whereas on the federal side a lot of these agencies are just falling down irrespective of party affiliation. Lawrence i do think there is going to be a reckoning. I hope the republican does a better job. They dont have a good Track Record as well of protecting the liberties of the american public. Russia, when it comes to the fbi. They didnt just start spying on americans. We gave them the opportunity to do that and after we realized they were doing that we reauthorized their right to do that in courts even though we knew they hid evidence. The Biden Administration says maybe that has something to do with susan rice. She is the person that went on five Sunday Shows five days after that terrible day when four americans lost their lives. Administration to exert pressure and invest political capital with some of the allies who have been interfering and part of the problem in libya. That was not the case during the Trump Administration. Whats your reaction to that . All i know is during the Trump Administration we didnt have thousands of rockets being fired on our ally israel. We didnt have ourselves treated like Secretary Blinken was treated up in alaska by his chinese counterpart that would have never happened to Mike Pompeo in a Trump Administration. President trump projected strength the rest of the world our adversaries understood that we are not seeing that now. We will see how this shakes out. But i have got my concerns and my guess is there is a lot of folks who share those concerns about this move to get back into libya. Lawrence i dont understand why we start continue to get that these international conflicts we have a true ally we cant stand with them. What theyre really talking about is getting rid of most of the Hunting Arms that people use today for sport and for hunting. And its a pretty remarkable definition. I loved how he said this is a particularly dangerous weapon when he was referring to the ar15. Every rifle is a particularly dangerous weapon if mishandled. So what we are going to see, i suspect, is an enormous regulatory effort designed restrain peoples right to keep and bear arms. It has to be fought in the courts. It has to be fought in the congress. It has to be fought in oversight. And, you know, otherwise its going to be whittled away ink by inch. They are not going to get that kind of legislation through congress. They will try to do it through bureaucratic action. Lawrence he didnt seem knowledgeable about guns. He worked atf but it didnt seem like he had a lot of knowledge about guns. I think he was trying to hide the fact he doesnt want anybody to have a gun. I have a remington 30006 and savage. They are both Bolt Action Something tells me would think theyre particularly dangerous too. This guy doesnt want private individual to have weapons. Thats what he has been working at in his private life after leaving the aft. Member a Gun Control organization. I thought his answers were evasive and designed to sort of minimize his exposure. But, when he gave that answer to Tom Cotton and cotton nailed him on it, i thought that was the moment we were all waiting to see. So how do they sell this type of i know you cant get in their head. But you are an expert at communication. It didnt seem like he campaigned on this. But he got elected so how are they going to put this out. I can tell you exactly how because we saw Jen Psaki do it from the podium. She was asked earlier what are you going to do about the Crime Problem . Her response was we have a gun problem. So they are going to tie the wave of violent crime across our country to guns. It is a strawman argument. Its just not argument. You Look 90 of weapons used by inmates in the commission of crimes are obtained illegally. They will try that. Jen psaki in fact was interestingly contradicted today on Background Call with reporters when doj admitted very interestingly, we actually do have a Crime Problem on our hands. With you they will try to intertwine the two. Its a false argument. And David Chipman is their Poster Boy for doing it. What he said in 2020 about first time Gun Owners during the pandemic. He said think they they are competent they are more like tiger king. I dont want to be compared to the tiger king. Certainly if im purchasing a weapon to protect my family or just in the exercise of my second amendment rights. Lawrence karl, the interesting thing is they are using crime as an issue. Do you think its going to impact them in the next election also . How do they explain i mean, im in New York city. All the criminals have guns but im not allowed to go get one. Thats always been the conundrum. You live in a city that has one of the toughest Gun Laws in the country. There is another city with even tougher Gun Laws, its called chicago. We know whats happening there. Look, you know, its interesting how the left the left blames crime on guns. And other things. In austin, we have a City Council Member leading Defund The Police effort. This guy wanted to literally implode the City Police Department building as a sign of the new spirit in austin about the police. Is he blaming the Crime Problem on covid and saying that when covid goes away the crime is going to go away. Take your choice its either the pandemic or its the existence of guns themselves. Liberals cant admit that crime is committed by criminals and people ought to be held accountable for the evil acts they do using guns. Lawrence cailee how is that going to impact moderate voters i just got back from austin where karl was at. Those are democrats that are upset with whats happening in their city. How do they vote in the next election . They have a huge problem on their hands, the democrat do. Because people see the defund police movement. And they see it in direct correlation with the crime going up in cities. They have seen their City Councils take money away from Police Officers and with that a corresponding increase in crime. The grandfather of slain 6yearold says the city needs more cops, not less after she was tragically killed by a Stray Bullet last week outside of mcdonalds. Sure enough, in the span of three weeks, three children were shot, including his 6yearold granddaughter. The young girl was riding in a car with her Mom Eating A Hamburger when she was struck by a Stray Bullet. She died the next day.
