A majority of School Systems ignored all of that, kept children out. Now children have been in school, many of them. Even though we have our own cdc data shows there is negligible transmission amongst little children with Mitigation Efforts they still require Ad Lot of them to stay remote. Every single Adult And Adolescent is able to get vaccinated. That is always our concern, as well as parents that the young children potentially bring the virus back home. Everyone who wants to be vaccinated at this point has been or been vaccinated. Supply is not an issue. Children are no in the group. They will not be vaccinated anytime soon. They need to tap available resources that demonstrate children can be together, they can be together without masks, without contributing to Community Spread of this virus. The data is there. There is international data. There is domestic data. A lot of private schools, Charter Schools, public schools remained open full time in person since september. Many ignored the cdc, actually did not require masks, they did not have super spreading events. They did not have horrible out comes. Yet the cdc is not tapping these resources. I personally believe especially in younger children that continued mask wearing in long settings like this is detrimental to their development. Will dr. Adolescents are contributing more to the transmission. The reason we want them vaccinated, keep the viral transmission are low so variants are not produced to escape immunity. To see their peers in masks, you dont get social cues based on the faces of the other kids if they are masked up. Ive got to tell you guys, i÷0a . All the time. They are, generally speaking, the only children at the playground outdoors without masks on. I think all the time about the fact that these kids that are masked up, theyre not coming in contact with bacteria and viruses that would allow them to have a robust and fully developed immune system one day. I do not put masks on my children, period. I think its crazy, i think its terrible. If kids get covid, they get an incredibly mild case. They are not the super e spreaders that they were feared to be. So i think the bottom line as far as im concerned as a parent is, look, if the teachers are concerned about catching covid, then they probably have already been vaccinated. Why would the kids ultimately have to wear masks in school . It is terrible. We need to get the masks off these children. I find it incredibly frustrating. Pete love the stance youre taking. What do you foresee in the fall with families with young kids faced with going to school potentially making a choice of you cant go to school without a mask unless your kid is vaccine nateed. Well, ive talked to friends of mine who have said if the Schooling Mandate that my child has to wear a mask or get the vaccine, theyre not going to send them to school. I mean, thats the choice of the parent. You have to determine what, ultimately, for your child. I think itll be very interesting to see state by state how this is determined. You look at places like florida where governor desantis just lifted the mandatory Mask Mandate there. I think there will be a lot of schools that say, hey, no Mask Mandate, our kids dont need to wear these masks, were not going to require it of anybody. I think what probably will happen, sadly, is the red states are going to be free to not wear the masks and, unfortunately, a lot of Blue States are going to require the children to wear them. Carley yeah. And if schools require kids to get a vaccine, that really becomes a vaccine mandate. Parents dont have a choice.
