The house appropriations committee, the committee thats venting these projects and deciding if they are approved, she says the whole point of bringing earmarks back is to try to take back some of the Spending Power from the White House and put it in the Hands Of Congress by bringing back control of those. I dont plan to participate this year, but i do understand conservatives have a solid argument that it ought to be congress making the decisions and not the biden administration. They clearly need to have reforms that cut out the nonsense you saw last time. I dont know about the earmarks, i would be surprised if they came from Republican Lawmakers. It seemed to me those i talked to who are participating are only looking at a very limited federal need for this. And 2 Million for a Pickle Bar and fitness in california. Im a big fan of it, i hope thats not the case. What i noticed among their republican colleagues, those seeking earmarks, it comes from predominantly poor areas. They need, it improving their ports, becoming economic competitive roles. This is the only time you have to fight for constituents, so dont, lets not paint them all with the same brush. Another way is taxation, President Biden proposing to increase taxes to pay for his Infrastructure Plan to pay for the american family plan, he will be in louisiana this afternoon putting pressure on the two republican senators in that stage.
