So she was not representing the most and now kevin has had enough, and that changes that, because mccarthy is now with us to remove her. So there will be enough votes to remove her next week. John she has had a very public back and forth with President Trump about the idea of the big lie. President trump calls the 2020 election the big life, and Liz Cheney says the idea that the election was stolen is the big lie. By ousting her is the g. O. P. Conference endorsing President Trumps view of the 2020 election . By ousting her what we are saying is that we are repudiating your repudiation of the Trump Agenda and her attacks on the president. If i were to say this right now, President Trump is the leader of the republican party. And when she is out there attacking him, she is attacking the leader of the republican party in attacking those of us who supported President Trump. She is attacking the base of the party who support President Trump. That is the nub of the issue. I dont even know where they are coming from, because i bet that writer does not get out and talk to the republicans that i do on a daily basis, because the republicans around this country say that Liz Cheney does not represent them. And all the polling indicates that President Trump still is the titleholder, she can tell with her vision of the truth, but she cant do it as the leader of the republican party in congress. And thats what she was trying to do, and you know, if she wants to say what she wants to say once she leaves, thats great, if she has those opinions, thats her business, thats between her and constituency, but when you take it out and you are acting as the person over the republicans in congress, Guess What . Sandra back for the top story, the administration defending the cdc after her new York Post revealed The Agency is Cool Reopening Guidelines were influenced by a major Teachers Union, white House Press Secretary Jen Psaki yesterday dismissing it as part of the process. It is actually a longstanding Best Practice for the cdc to engage with organizations and groups that are going to be impacted by guidance and recommendations issued by The Agency. The cdc engages with the stakeholders that are on the front lines in this pandemic and have requisite perspective for the guidance. Sandra Ben Domenech joining us now, publisher of The Federalist. We are wondering why any input other than this doctors wouldve been used to make these decisions. You know who the biggest stakeholders are in the decision. It is the kids. It is those black, brown, Asian Kids Across America who are affected by these decisions in a way that is not just antiscientific, but it is designed to bolster the interest of the most adherent and damaging strain of the democratic coalition, the Teachers Unions who have made clear over the past year plus that they do not value the education of these children at all, and i Cant Stress this strongly enough, the damage that has been done to these children is the sort of thing that is the subject of research for decades to come long after Joe Biden and Liz Warren and Randi Weingarten departed from the political scene. We are seeing the Degradation And Destruction of these childrens lives to a degree that we know from prior experience and from research that has been done and well documented over the years that to just absence of a year of Inperson Learning dramatically affects the outcomes for everyones lives. We are talking about the difference between being able to hold down a job and being on welfare for the rest of your life. And we heard from Jen Psaki saying this was standard practice when we could see the emails, she said the cdc engaged with around 50 stakeholders that are on the front lines of the pandemic and have requisite perspective for the guidance. She did not elaborate on the stakeholders, so our own Kristin Fisher in the Briefing Room at the White House just moments ago asked her about just that. Listen. Yesterday you said that the cdc engaged with around 50 stakeholders on coming up with these guidelines for Reopening Schools, in addition to the Teachers Union, the American Federation Of Teachers, who are these roughly 50 stakeholders. Let me give you, im not going to read all 50 and i am happy to send them to you after. But just as an example while i find this lengthy list, you know, they include the ymca, they include the council of chief State School officers, the national association of school nurses, the national governors association, bigcity health coalition, autism speaks, council of great city schools, so there is a range of organizations, and as we were talking about yesterday, the objective is how to better understand the implementation. Sandra she continues to defend this, is how you, go ahead. This is just, this is the essence of a corrupt way to approach this issue coming or bring the stakeholders into the room, the people who are most with holden and of the powerful Teachers Union that are within their state. And you ask them what their advice is. And what do they do, they engage in an activity that was designed to cover their own political advancement as opposed to looking for the interest of the kids that are in the most vulnerable situations. This puts the wide to every thing that the left says about systemic racism. As i mentioned, systemic racism, it is the fact that the majority of black, hispanic, and asian students who are in High School were not learning in a 9zoom like experience when it came to two months ago. We know that and we know what comes from that. Drop outs, people who dont go to college, people who are not going to be able to hold down a job and people who will be government dependent for the rest of their life, which is something that the Democratic Party actively once. They like that. They dont think its a bad thing. As far as the objective to get kids back into the classrooms, back into The School buildings, the mayor has said that he plans to have them back in The Schools fully reopened by september. Sandra. And its a big decision for a family to decide to leave a school, especially a school like this, extremely expensive and very hard to get into, but i think that the reason is his letter touched such a nerve that it is not just expensive schools in new York City that are peddling some of this, it is schools across the country in one version or another, so said that he felt The Schools focused so much on race that it was showing up in every single aspect of their schooling. And that the parents along with the children had to sign a pledge in order to register for the next year that said that you would commit to antiracism and that you will be active as a family and pursuing antiracism, and that really was the Breaking Point for andrew where he said im not signing this. I dont feel right signing this i dont stand for what it espouses. And as he says in that clip, you know, he says, think whatever you want to think of it, but people to be into groupthink that he feels is not an accurate reflection on where he is, and one other thing that i would say, john, to me as a parent when you are looking at schools for your kids are they are going to a Public School in your neighborhood, they are two basic principles, they have to have the best interest of your child at heart and give them a really good education. Thats the Bottom Line. He said i realize that my child, they did not have her best interests at heart and you know it, she was not even getting a good education, so they were out of there. John he like and what the administration of the Board Of Trustees is doing to the chinese cultural revolution, listen to what else he told foxnews. Com. This is the antiracism principle, where they say if you are not antiracist, you are racist. And more even than that is if you just stay silent, youre racist. You have to be an activist, if you are not an activist for the Antiracism Initiative for black Lives Matter, for example, you are racist. And for more Work Workers the economic progress starts in a restaurant. In the restaurant i just visited and immigrated from this country started working as a meatpacker, now the restaurants lead butcher and one of the owners. For nearly one in three americans, this is hard to believe, but for more in one than three americans, a restaurant provided their first job. More than half of all americans have worked in a restaurant at some point in their lives. Before the pandemic, restaurants and bars employ 12 12 of all of the workers in our country. This is an industry where the staff feels like family and often is family, and when the pandemic hit, Restaurant Owners and operators were resilient and creative and generous. Right now only about a quarter of the Restaurant Owners expect to return to normal operations in the next six months. We can do much better than that. Businesses that get grants and use it to cover Kate Billing and payroll, rent, utilities, supplies. Anything they need to start and stay open and to reopen. We are opening the doors of this program so that restaurants all over the country can open their doors again. We started accepting applications on monday, today is wednesday. We made it quick and easy to apply. Within the first two days, there were 186,200 applications from all 50 states for help. That is a staggering Number. 97,600 of those applications came from businesses owned by women, veterans, and socioeconomically disadvantaged individuals. Now the application have all right now it looks like we will be able to provide help to about 100,000 restaurants and other eligible businesses. We passed at the american Rescue Plan when we did that, some people said it was not needed. Yesterdays response proves them wrong, it is badly needed. About a year ago in the first round of the Paycheck Protection Program opened up, a lot of the smallest firms all the doors shut in their face. The law was written so that as we process these applications, the new one that we focus first on those who were left behind by the other relief programs. And to make sure that the relief is distributed fairly, we also set aside funds for those smallest restaurants, bars, food trucks, and many familyowned restaurants that had not gotten any help to date. And they need it. That way they dont have to compete above their Weight Class for these grants. 61,000 sorry for all the Numbers, but they are important. 61,700 applications have come from the smaller bars and restaurants already. I want to think the small Business Administrator for the work that she and her team are doing to make sure that we get help quickly and fairly through the businesses that need it the most. As i said, i have spoken to dozens of Restaurant Owners about the challenges they faced, but also letters from people who want to tell me about the Restaurant Owners in their communities. I received one letter from a man who asked me to look out for a pair of local Restaurant Owners who described as the hardest working people i have ever met. Another letter was from a woman who wanted to tell me about how important a couple that ran the restaurant in her town near her was. She said they are the strong consistent foundation of our community. Whether it is our economy or our sense of community, relying on restaurants to play a big role in our recovery, we want our economy to recover in a way that deals everyone in. Our restaurants need a seat at the table, no pun intended, thats what we are giving them. Thats what this program is about. Its about a seat at the table. This is another example of how we are putting the american Rescue Plan to work quickly and effectively and showing the american people that the government can deliver, can deliver for them again, and do without waste. And it was argued that what it would do is generate this great economic surge and growth, it would increase productivity. It would pay for itself. Now i come along, and the proposals that i am suggesting are tried and true things like when you rebuild bridges, things get better. When you rebuild highways, when you dont have to, airport ports, it all matters. It increases productivity. And the programs that were lowered relate to people or programs of the things that alse economic growth. And i view them as for example, tax cuts for middleclass, uppermiddleclass, middleclass, and workingclass people. And so you eliminate a few of the just have the super wealthy begin to pay their fair share. For example, you have, you know, you have the biggest 35 or 30 corporations that did not pay a single solitary penny last year and they are fortune 500 companies. They made 400 billion. They paid no taxes. How can that make any sense . Especially since these corporations, and it come from a corporate capital of the world. More corporations are incorporated in my state and all the rest of the country combined. If you notice, corporations arent investing any money in Research And Development. Somewhere what is it going to . Buying back your own stock . Stuck stock dividends that make sense for research development,y raises, et cetera. It used to be that not too long ago, for example, during the bush administration, the Tax Rate for the very wealthy making well over millions of dollars was 39. 6 . It is now 37 . Just raise it back to what it was before. It raises enough money from that savings to put every single person in Community College who wants to go. Now what is going to grow america more . What is going to help you and your security more . The super wealthy having to pay 3. 9 less tax, or having an entire generation of americans having associate degrees . Thats why all of the economist, even Wall Street pointing out, Guess What, it goes to the economy. It benefits everybody. It hurts nobody.
