And were happy that not just her but all the viewers out there can hear about this and know how much my father waS Passionate about Learning And Education and, above that i think really saw it as a duty in how core that was to him of learning more and being curious always. He passed away and i was thinking when i heard about mondaleS Passing about when charles would say when anybody wants to attack me they talk about me as the mondale Speech Writer and i wear that proudly and he said, you know, he would always get asked what was the evolution from Walter Mondale Speech write tore Fox News . Yeah. I have been thinking about that myself, too. I was very saddened to hear of the Vice President S Passing. He and my father parted wayS Politically but always remained deeply affectionate and respectful of one another. And i was thinking about even went back to read part of my Fathers Book things that matter today where he wrote about this revolution. It was something that he would joke about going from Mondale Speech write tore Fox News contributor is not a common path. But, i think there important evolution. Wrote on how Foreign Policy he felt that really it was the democratic party that left him in the way that Ronald Reagan spoke about it but on domestic policy it was something that he felt he was open to Empirical Evidence and he saw the social Science Evidence come back to the 80s the program to help the disadvantaged werent actually doing that and more limited Government Approach actually achieved what he cared about more. And i think those two things of holding fast to his moral principles on foreign Policy And Anticommunism and robust Foreign Policy not just following the crowd or the team he was on but also being intellectually honest and rigorous and examining his own beliefs and being open to Evidence And Reasoning when it came and admitting when what he used to think wasnt working anymore and adjusting his views and i think we could all use a bit more balancing those two elements together. Well, he haS Proposed a 50 reduction in annual Greenhouse Gas emissions with respect to 2005 levels will be achieved by 2030. That is almost double what President Obama had committed to. So, itS Pretty ambitious. People can criticize it, but it is a darn challenging goal, you know, i looked up the numbers, we are now running at 13 below the annual 2005 level already as of 2019. Thats an e. P. A. Number. So, we have got to quadrupled that reduction in the next nine years and without a carbon tax. Thats hard to do. And he is not providing any details yet on the plan to do it. Its about getting two more Democrat Senators but it shows thAt Their push is on. They are hoping by flooding the zone, you know, they will be able to get one or two of their things in. Plus, they are looking At Those 2022 midterms and they are not looking great for that so they are trying to get done whAt They can. I admire them for that i just dont agree with whAt They are doing.
