In our criminal Justice System more broadly. That is the Big Lie, his systemic racism. Did Joe Biden always believe the nation was racist to its core . Did he believe this when Barack Obama and he were elected not once but twice, historic elections . Did that do nothing to remove the stain on our Nations Soul . What about the 1965 civil Rights Act . Does Joe Biden really Law Enforcement is essentially a racist Killing Someone who knows, even if hes not The One making the calls on this stuff, hes mouthing the words. But do not think for a nanosecond that the left wing media and the activists who went on and on today about, about George Floyd and they were worried billion justice, they are not focused on the tragedy of George Floyd. Because for them, he was just a steppingstone to tearing down america. They have to convince all black americans that the police hate them and will never be fair to them. And these same activists, these same media people, you know who they are, they feel justified in conflating Floyds Case with every other one involving an africanamerican and Law Enforcement. Minnesotas attorney general Keith Ellison is an officer of the court. He knows it is wrong and nonsensical to generalize across different fact patterns and evidence and different types of cases but he does it anyway. We have seen rodney king, admiral, oscar grant, eric garner, michael brown, freddy gray, sandra bland, castillo, laquan mcdonald, stefon clashing, jefferson, anton black, Breonna Taylor and now dante Wright And Adam taledo. This has to end. The work of our generation is to put an end to the vestiges of Jim Crow and the centuries of trauma and finally put an end to racism. Laura well, that is a laudable goal. Thats what we all want. But they cling to the Big Lie, and they want to reprogram all of america to believe that Justice Isnt served when just one individual pays for criminal wrong doing, for them, punishment has to be widereaching and never ending. One down, many, many more to go. Its sort of a cultural makeup call. But im not happy. Im not pleased. I dont have any sense of satisfaction. I dont think this is a system working. I dont think this is a good thing. This verdict is not justice. Frankly, i dont even think we call it full accountability. Laura well, the left, its always committeded to use this case and any instance of white cops having bad interactions with black americans to reinforce the same Big Lie. Mainly that americas this Systemically Racist place where black people are targeted afternoon in constant danger. They can never get ahead. So that lie, what does it do . It drives us apart and it sends so many americans back into their respective corners and cuts off conversations, it doesnt start them. It always warps thinking. Check out this recent study examining perceptions about racism versus reality. For instance, statistics show that about five times more black americans are killed in Traffic Accidents than in encounters with police. But because of the relentlessly negative narrative peddled by politicians and the press, The Public is woefully uninformed. Laura they believe young black men are more likely to die in police shootings than Traffic Accidents. A far less likely to wrongly believe police Shootings Claymore Young Black lives in Traffic Accidents, but among those who voted for Joe Biden, e wrong. Theyve been told the Big Lie. This is staggering. Imagine holding such a dark view of the wrong. No warm very one cares about the facts. This is always going to be about emotions, images, Bumper Stickered Placcards Shouting at people in restaurants. And when reverendal got on his private jet to join the flied family yesterday, we knew where this was all going. This was not about the end of a traumatic moment in minneapolis and justice. This was the start of a political revolution. That means the gradual federalizing of all police in america. Last summer, i introduced the George Floyd death Policing Accident. This bill would hold Law Enforcement accountable. This bill is part of George Floyds legacy. We are determined that were going to fight until we make federal law, the George Floyd justice in Policing Accident must be law. Were going to get a lot more done. Were going to get police. Were going to do a lot. Were going to stay at it until we get it done. Hopefully this is the momentum for the George Floyd Justice And Policing act to get passed and have you sign. You got it pal. Our first shot at dealing with genuine systemic Racism Laura again got to insert the Big Lie into the conversation. Now if this law actually passed it wouldnt mean better police in the united states, it would mean essentially no police. It would eliminate qualified immunity for officer the Covid Lockdowns were horrific for the innercity, permissive mayors and Week Police departments are turning our cities over to criminals. They are going to ship jobs overseas, the abide administration, and leave open borders to do what . Drive down wages. This is what happened away from the racial justice protests last weekend. There were no rallies for these victims. Sharpton was there today in minneapolis, other Race Hustlers were there, as well, because they go where the cameras go. They do not go to the South Side of chicago. They dont go to inglewood. The fact of the matter is, we live in a great charitable good people. Acts of Deparagraphity And Racism do not define us and we despise it. We want the law applied equally and fairly across the board which is what our constitution requires. When we see innocent americans brutalized were disgusted and pray for justice. And yes, we protest for justice peacefully. We know jurors who feel threatened by the mob are put in an impossible situation. Go with the Mob Or Risk losing your own life. We dont want jury pools tainted or politicians with their own political announcements. Instinctively we know The Publics face and final Jury Verdict will be compromised if any of that happens. And i think most americans see what the left is doing here. And its not going to work. Most just want to live in peace and freedom. They want a shot at prosperity and they want their kids to have a decent education. And i think most want the government just to get off their backs, stop lecturing us about how we need to evolve and change our language in order to satisfy the woke warrior class. People of all races and creeds deserve the truth from their political leaders. And today, President Biden choked us that on the issue of justice and and race hes just incapable of telling it to us, and thats the angle. Joining me now Bob Wood Son former civil Rights Activist and founder of the Wood Son center. Bob, why the rush among politicians in the media to go right to reviewing this case through the racial lens despite no evidence that this was a racially based crime . Because it really sets the left narrative that everything has to be seen through a racial lens. Laura, on easter sunday, there were A Thousand black families having a picnic in a park in birmingham alabama. Six black thugs fired 100 shots killing a 32 year old daughter of a local pastor who was singing in the church. Six other people were shot, including a four year old. Two days ago in syracuse, a 32 year old mother was killed along with her 11 year old 11month old daughter, and two other children were shot. They were just 82 people killed since George Floyd. But you dont hear about that. Theres no outrage. Systemic racism had nothing to do with that carnage. But, yet, a handful of people like George Floyd are killed at the hands of the police, and because it fits a racial narrative, theres a mobilization. But the most vulnerable people, low income blacks in these communities are The Ones who are going to suffer the consequence. Not Al Sharpton in his Jet Or Mack scene waters from her mansion or the head of black Lives Matter in a 1. 3 Million mansion from corporate 98 Million given by corporate, its really a carnage. And these people are worse than bigots. I know what bigotry looks like. But i also know what treason looks like. And what theyre doing to black america, in terms of pushing this false racial narrative, to me amounts to treasonous behavior against them. But were not supposed to talk about that. Laura hey, bob, do you agree that so much of whats going on here is, they have to always shift the conversation to a systemic problem. You have to tear down the history, whether its a statue or a plaque or get rid of a book or rewrite historical narratives. And constantly beat the drum of systemic racism. Because, lord knows, their policies dont actually raise the standard of living of minority citizens, or any americans, for that matter. Their policies are ruinous but they cant defend them so they have to go to this. I think its a deflection away are their personality responsibility. If racism were that persuasive the question is why in the last 50 years are low income blacks failing in systems run by their own people . So as long as and now the police are being thrown under the bus as an extension of white supremacy and again it prevents a convenient excuse for why their policies are not working. And so that really its really to conceal their incompetence. But theyre also weaponizing race and using it for political purpose at the expense of lowincome blacks. And theyre ignoring real remedies, as you heard me say many times. We have our black mothers, voices of black mothers meeting with police in birmingham, alabama, who talk about ways that these communities can come together and make the community safer. But theres no Attention Or Support for those kind of initiatives. Laura bob, this narrative thats being pushed has already infected the minds of millions of americans. Check out what this Minnesota Resident told an msnbc reporter today. You said you now realize your privilege, that this, the death of George Floyd helped you realize that. What are you going to do with that realization . Where do you take that . I want to find out. I dont know. I actually googled it Today Laura what did you google. What can i a white person do to help out black Lives Matter. What made you do that. You know, institutionally and systematically i have benefits that other people dont have. Laura bob, imagine a world where some, you know, individual has a better benefit than another individual . What do you say to that man . I mean, like i said before, two groups that annoy me most are self flagulating guilty white people and the other group are rich angry entitled blacks who profit off of the misery of their people. If you oriented towards the problem, you can consult about it, you can write books about it, and you can raise money on it. Thats your success of your career is contingent upon having people fail. And so thats the kind of losing combination that were witnessing today. For the president of the united states come in and directly intervene in a Court Case and for a member of congress to come down and almost lead the mob in demanding that this man be found guilty, this is unprecedented. And really harmful to the most vulnerable in our society. Laura well, and that cocoon of protection surrounded Mack Scene waters faster than seven on eight, bob. They jumped in to protect her real quick. And then Nancy Pelosi embarrassed herself. Bob thank you so much. Great to see you lets turn now to the legal implications of todays verdict, joining me is al and dershowitz and John Hen Rocker Attorney and president of The American experiment. Allen, can we assume here that there will be an appeal from chauvin, given what the judge has already said and the concerns already raised. Oh, sure. Its very rare that a judge will tell the Defense Attorneys that they have the grounds for appeal, the ground being obviously maxine Waters Incitement to The Jury, threat to The Jury. But basically The Jury heard this from many people. They knew, the jurors who were not sequestered should have been sequestered knew that if they dont render a verdict on the top count of murder two, murder three and then manslaughter, there will be violence on the streets. The mayors of every city were preparing for violence, the Police Chiefs were preparing. The independence of our Jury System is in great danger today, and now its spreading. Its spreading from minneapolis to Brooklyn Center where theres going to be a Railroading Trial of kim prior, who commit in Order Crime at all, but these same people are going to demand a conviction of an entirely innocent person. Now Chauvin Wasnt innocent. What he did was wrong, inexcusable and almost certainly manslaughter. But What Potter did was an honest mistake. She thought she was using the taser which shes entitled to do and instead used the Gun And Somebody died. Laura all right. If these precious on the jurors persist laura the lit any on district cases was repeated several times today. Cnns Jake Tapper spoke out today about the argument made by Chauvins Defense. Defense attorneys gas light. Thats what they do. Thats their job. This trial is not new in that sense. And prosecution in different cases, they gas light, too. But my point is, that didnt work. Laura john, stunning from a news anchor. Well, look, im not sure exactly what jake was talking about there, but there were some very strange aspects to Chauvins Defense. I mean his lawyer totally botched the Defense Issue central to the case. He put out a case of all these different factors that caused Floyds Death and it was undetermined what ultimately caused it and in Closing Argument he got up and said if any of these other factors, the drug overdose, the hypertension, the heart disease, if any of those factors contributed at all to Floyds Death, then chauvin is not guilty, which is, i mean, that is not the law. Thats totally incorrect. The law is substantial causal factor. And so after he was done, the prosecution made a motion which the Trial Court granted and they took a little recess and before the prosecution gave their rebuttal, the Trial Court reinstructed The Jury to disregard statements by lawyers that were inconsistent with the courts instructions. And then the prosecutor got up and, of course, clobbered Eric Nelson for misstating the law as it results to causation. So in very important respect, thats not the only one. I just found Chauvins Defense quite puzzling laura floyds Family Attorney Benjamin crump spoke out after the verdict was announced. America, let this be the precedent. Let this be the precedent where we live up to the high ideals and the promises where we say Liberty And Justice for all, let this be the precedent where we overcome systematic racism and oppression. Laura allen, does this case immediately demonstrate a racial connection thats made by many of the commentators and certainly the defense but was there evidence put on at trial that Derek Chauvin was known to be a racist. This case was not decided necessarily by the evidence that was presented in the courtroom. It was decided by allegations made outside the courtroom. And there were allegations of racism, systemic racism. The problem is that the judge didnt see Questions Ter The Jury, he should have. He should have moved the trial out of minneapolis and should not have denied a mistrial when waters and others made statements that clearly told the jurors that you shouldnt only consider the evidence in this case. You should consider whether or not your verdict is going to produce a violent reaction. And that really threatens the independence of juries. You know, it used to be, in the deep south, that it was the racists, the white racists that paraded in front of the courthouse demanding jurors that convict every white person and every white Person Today its the opposite and we see politicians standing in front of the courthouse demanding convictions on charges that arent justified. The Murder Charges were not justified in this case, manslaughter was. Of manslaughter is not justified in the kim potter case. We have to do something to make sure that juries remain independent and isolated, insulated from pressures outside the courtroom. Laura okay. Yeah, but, john, how is a jury supposed to remain independent when its pretty wellknown Common Knowledge that, if you dont get the verdict, that Maxine Waters thinks you should get, a lot of people are going to burn the city down and maybe burn your house down maybe. I mean, its a tough position. Im not saying that even happened here, but that certainly was a specter hanging over this trial from day one, was it not . Well, laura well never know whether it happened here or not. Well never know what a Jury Untainted by those precious might have done. But when they were selecting The Jury, they asked questions about this and, of course, the jurors all knew about the riots last summer and im sure many were thinking to themselves, the Police Couldnt even protect their own third Precinct Station House from being burned down laura yeah. How are they going to protect my house from being burned down. They tried to keep them anonymous but yesterday the Minnesota Tribune ran a profile of the jurors in which they didnt say their names but gave all kinds of biographical information so if you knew the person you would likely recognize, oh, yeah, thats fred. You know, so theres no assurance that and anonymity can be maintained and well never really know how much those pressures impacted these jurors. Absolutely right. Correct laura yeah, allen, what could the defense have done in this case that it didnt do particularly well . Anything that you saw . Well, you know, i never want to second guess a Defense Attorneys decision not to put the witness on the Witness Stand but the government proved overwhelmingly causation. Thats not an appeal ate issue. The only issue that was left was the state of mind. What was he thinking . Why did he do this . Was he frightened . Was he intimidated . Talking about chauvin. And by not putting him on the Witness Stand they denied The Jury the opportunity to look him in the eye and understand that maybe what he did could be explained. Now, maybe there was a lot of stuff that would have come out if he took the stand that wouldnt is on come out so i dont want to second guess them but once they decided not to put him on the stand i knew the case was over. Also they didnt do an effective enough job in crossexamination the major witnesses on the Causation Issue although i dont think that was ever a winning issue. But there are two big issues on appeal. Number one, whether or not the second and third Degree Murder verdicts are justified, based on the law. And number two, obviously the failure to see questions tower The Jury. So i think this case is a long way of being over. The Supreme Court Of The United States may very well want to look at this case and send a message about how you deal with cases when there are efforts to try to intimidate The Jury. Laura gentlemen, thank you so much tonight. And i want to go now to jorge ventura, a daily Caller Field Reporter who just gotten to the George Floyd square. You say crowds have started to build in the last 30 minutes or so . Whats going on there. Yeah, so weve been seeing crowds gather here all night but right now were seeing more people come. I would say the crowd right now has close to Three Hundred to Four Hundred people and right now we just have people popping fireworks, celebrating, just large music and right now it seems the mood is very celebratory at this moment right now. And ive been speaking to people here at the garden and they say they are satisfied with the charges that have been brought on Derek Chauvin laura that seems to be in conflict with what Alexandria Ocasiocortez said earlier today this doesnt feel like justice doesnt even feel like accountability and youre saying what youre hearing on the streets is thats not the case, this is an individual case, at least in this case, justice was done. Yes, they feel justice has been served. When im speaking to people they say the fight is not over, now they want to put pressure on the District Attorney to Charge Kim Potter who shot Dante Wright with Murder Charges but as of right now things have remained peaceful, we havent seen any clashes with Law Enforcement. We know the state of minnesota really went in hard to prepare for any civil unrest. They put the Operation Safety Net with the State Troopers and local police department. So far we havent seen any of that but well see how things roll into later tonight. Laura le jorge, lauren coat, a cnn reporter, spoke out earlier today and she was very concerned that boarding up buildings and sending that message of a fortified city was going to trigger people. I dont know if we have the sound bite. But she okay. Lets watch it. We have a pavlovian response in america where we have a verdict and buildings are started to be boarded up and businesses start to close, that Trust Gap thats already there between our Justice System and members of the community, it expands exponentially. Because in their minds they say youre preparing me for an acquittal. People believe, did you get a Heads Up governor, did you get a Heads Up mr. President , did you get a Heads Up, judge . Do you know something we do not know laura jorge, so theyre kind of damned if they do damned if they dont. If they dont board up the buildings, they lose their store or maybe another government building, and if they do, then theyre sending a terrible message to the people on the streets you think the people on the streets you talked to were upset that there was some Fort Fix going on there . Here on the ground the Business Owners had to protect their business because they saw what happened last year and the thing is, when you have Law Enforcement concentrated on one area of say like the Brooklyn Center Police department, it leaves the rest of the city stretched thin. So the Business Owners kind of have to defend their own selves and we saw that last week while covering the action here where Business Owners stood in front of their businesses with guns and they were armed because Law Enforcement is so stretched thin. So this is something that they have to do. And one thing that is not talked about enough when civil unrest happens its black and brown businesses that suffer the most during these snipes jorge thank you so much. Stay safe out there tonight. Joining us now florida governor ron desantis. Governor thanks for being with us. Just yesterday you signed an anti Riot Bill that you say is the strongest law against rioting, proceed Law Enforcement piece of legislation in the country . Given what we heard from biden and Harris Tonight regarding this push for this George Floyd policing act, is your law even necessary . Well, laura, i think our law was necessary. Weve seen a lot of unrest in our country. We dont want that coming to florida. And it really does a lot of different things. One of the things it does is it effectively prevents local government from defunding Law Enforcement which is an insane idea and would put a lot of people at rift it also lets citizens sue their local government if the local government tells police to stand down during one of these things and either theyre harmed or their propertys harmed and it provides really strong penalties for people who engage in violent assemblies, particularly if you harm somebody else and particularly if you harm a Law Enforcement officer. So were proud of what we did and we think it will make a big difference. Laura now, in the angle i talked about how the Big Lie that was told over and over today by activists, media types, and the President And Vicepresident , is that america at her core is a racist nation. Your thoughts on that continued repetition and that drum beat, especially as it affects young americans. I think its very damaging because its an attempt to delegitimize all the institutions in our country starting with the constitution. They say they deny great the grounding fathers, they denegrate everybody now. I think thats harmful. Thats one of the reasons in Florida Weve banned critical Race Theory being taught in our k12 schools. We think teaching people to hate the country, hate each other based on race, is not a recipe for success. And so we dont believe that thats consistent with what the country stands for. Laura a protester in new york city, governor, tonight made it pretty clear why a bill like yours is necessary. Watch. What we really have to be cognizant of is that it was a mixture of violent and nonviolent protests that yielded this result. Thats the bottom line. America doesnt listen to us when we march peacefully. Im not saying people will be back in the Street But America must know that if you continue to allow us to be murdered in the streets without justice, we will raise hell in america. Laura governor, this isnt stopping anytime soon, as he indicated. Violence, at least in part, works, in his view. Well, thats really, really troubling laura because if thats what a lot of people think, and i dont know what happened with this verdict, but if Thats Something that can potentially happen where you basically have justice meeted out because The Jury is scared of what a mob may do. Im not saying that happened here but that speaker seemed to suggest that had an impact thats completely and theyical to the Rule Of Law and i think what weve done with our anti Riot Bill is saying, you know, you engage in that, youre going to jail. Youre not going to gain by doing that. Were going to maintain law and order. But certainly to think that somehow that is going to influence how the Rule Of Laws applied, it would be a total disaster if that idea takes hold. Laura now one of your State Senators chevron jones, not a big fan of your anti Riot Bill. Our response to injustices in this country is protests. But their response is to criminalize it when the recourse for us is to turn to the streets to make our voices heard in this unjust system. Governor desantiss Actions Today goes to show that hes not concerned about the lives of blacks and brown people. You have just declared war on the first amendment in the state of florida. Laura governor, does this bill threaten floridans first Amendment Right to peaceably assemble . Not at all. I mean, if youre throwing a brick at a Law Enforcement Officers Head which many people were doing throughout the summer, that has nothing to do with the first amendment. If you break into a Store And Damage Peoples Property or steal Peoples Property, doesnt have anything to do with the first amendment. If you have a mob of people descend on an innocent civilian and intimidate and harass them, doesnt have anything to do with the first amendment. And so i think that this was a really necessary piece of legislation. And, look, if you oppose a piece of legislation, that means you want local governments to be able to defund police. You want local governments to have no consequence if they allow people to be harmed and not have police there. And it means you dont want strong penalties for people who are engaging in violent activities. And so i think we got it right and, you know, sometimes when you get the criticism, you know youre over the target, you know, when they start launching wild accusations. Laura do you feel like you are being targeted now, maybe because of youre running for reelection next year as governor and people are talking about you as a possible 2024 candidate. Do you feel like, after the 60 minutes and that youre now in their sights with trump at least temporarily, you know, off the grid . Well, weve been in the sights for about a year, laura, because the covid, we went in a different direction than what the narrative and the media were demanding. They were predicting that florida would be the worst, and they had all this. And i think that the fact that we did it a different way, weve obviously been much more successful, our covid mortalitys less than the national average and our unemployments much less than the national Average And Weve had kids in school all year in person, they do not want to admit that their approach was wrong and that our approach was more effective. So i think weve been dealing with this for a long time. You know, obviously 60 minutes was a total hatchet job, and and thats blown up in their face. Clearly they were trying to target me during that. But the good news is, they didnt really find anything of merit and so they had to lie and they had to edit stuff out and so i think we came out and most people realized i was right Laura Governor great to see you tonight. Thanks so much. Thank you laura there was another policeinvolved shooting in Columbus Ohio Tonight that happened just moments after the Chauvin Verdict was released. Were awaiting a Press Conference from officials there and have been told to expect the release of bodycam video. Were going to take a short break. Stay there dont go away, before we take you live to that presser in a moment. Triple action kills weeds, prevents Crab Grass and feeds your lawn. All three,in just one bag. I like that. Laura one of the lefts main goals of the Chauvin Trial was to paint all Police Officers in the country as rabid racists who just wake up in the morning and they figure out,ey gee, how can they intentionally seek out and, you know, abuse, murder black people. Well, in fact, over on msnbc theyre not worried about the potential for unrest in our streets, theyre worried about the police. We have been preparing for the violent protests. Now we have to prepare for the reaction of the police. We need to be mindful of what it means that were seeing these Plates Shift in the very Way Policing is happening in the country. Laura joining me now Brandon Tatum Former Police Officer. Brandon last time i checked the police werent The Ones who were rioting, looting and burning down cities, harassing people in restaurants as theyre doing tonight in new york city. Your reaction to this . Well, first and foremost, we wouldnt need police if people werent cutting up acting a fool 24 hours a day seven days a week. This is a political agenda and its sad because theyre ruinings our country and they dont have to. Police in this country and we know police do their job on a daytoday basis, you get one officer like chauvin who i think did something he should have been done. I dont think he should have been convicted but did something he shouldnt have done but we Cant Paint Everybody with a broad brush. I dont think you should paint every black person with a broad brush. So why are they still pushing this rhetoric that all Police Officers in this country are somehow evil, they want revenge. Its absolutely as nine to me. Laura and when you think about all these cities, brandon, That Are Run by africanamerican mayors, and many cases liberal mayors or nonafricanamerican, i mean, do they have any, you know, responsibility here for whats happening in their own cities . Forget among the police, how about on the streets. We have 26 people shot last weekend in chicago. Al sharpton didnt show up, at least not yet. Well, this is an opportunity for them to pass the Ball And Act like its somebody elses fault. I mean, these people are running the city. And to be honest, Black On black violence is way more prevalent than these Police Interactions that were seeing. I wish to god that we would see this amount of enthusiasm and protests in the inner cities where young people are getting murdered every single day. Instead, they only care when its a white Police Officer that kills a black person. They dont care if its a black person that kills another black person or whatever the case may be, they are not concerned with that. They only want to push an agenda. This is destroying our country, this is causing young people to be more enthusiastic about Resisting Arrest and causing Police Officers to leave the force. Police are leaving almost all around the country you see police leaving the force, crime is going up in many areas, people are begging for police, as Thee Politicians are using these situations as a pawn to gain reelection. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Laura well, brandon, you remember going through and the decision to become a Police Officer, its not an easy decision. A lot of people grow up wanting to be police, or at least they used to, because it was considered a noticeable profession, a service to a community. But given this rush to judgment in every case involving a police shooting, at least after the horrific video of what happened to mr. Floyd, who wants to be a Police Officer under these circumstances . Yeah, its unfortunate because i wouldnt be a Police Officer today, and i love being a Police Officer. It was an honorable thing to do, i served and protected my community with my life. I put my whole family aside for many nights, many years, just to make sure our community was safe, and now theyll throw you away. They wont even give you any credit for the amount of people you saved if you make a mistake. And its all because of a political agenda. You know, i really wish that people would have a balanced conversation with these matters. I think that Theres Room to improve in policing. I was a Police Officer. I trained Police Officers. I was on a swat team. We can always improve. But also, we need to reach out to the community and say, can we stop Resisting Arrest . Can we stop disobeying the police. And these political pundits and talking heads, they want you to fight the police, they want you to be killed so they can make all this unin, promote it on the news, they can get a payout with the family and youre going to be dead as a doornail. And i dont know why we continue to let these people destroy our country and push this rhetoric. I wish that we could come to a balance and say theres things to be improved on both sides, lets work together to make it happen. But, unfortunately talks too loud for people to listen to basic Rhetoric Laura yeah, Resisting Arrest is sadly i think a lot of young people are taught today that, if you encounter the police, the police will shoot you. I mean, i actually think theyre being taught that by a lot of these Blm Marksist types and so their instinct is to run and then sometimes theyre involved in criminality at the same time but if you run theres always going to be more Likelihood Something could go awry. There could be a mistake, a gun fired somewhere else, someone could shoot. But if you dont resist arrest, what are the chances of you getting killed by a Police Officer in the united States Today . Its absolutely zero. I mean just about zero. I dont think you have any interaction with police if you dont resist arrest. If you look at anybody that was killed by a Police Officer, justified or not, they were involved in Criminal Activity and they were involved in Resisting Arrest. You know, the funny thing is that, you may encounter a bad cop. You may encounter a poorly trained cop. But you can avoid all of the negative reactions with that if you do not resist arrest. If you do not make your claim on the side of the road. You do those things in court. We should be helping the community understand how do you deal with police, how can you defend yourself if you deal with a bad Police Officer. Not telling people to go out there and use this as an insurance policy. Nowadays it pays to be a crook and a there youing because if you cant pass money down to your family by getting killed by another black man, if you get killed by a cop you get 27 Million paid to your family and another 27 Million on gofundme. So this is becoming a trend, people trying to goal viral losing their lives and demonizing police in the process. I wish people would grow up and say i care about our citizens and the police equally. Lets come together and find a solution and that solution starts with us being united and not divided. Laura brandon thank you, great to see you tonight in moments officials are set to hold a News Conference on another policeshoveled shooting of a teenage girl in columbus ohio. This case is apparently very complicated and we do expect Bodycam Footage to be rereefed at any moment. Stay there. Do Motivational Speag in addition to the substitute teaching. My garden brings us together. My garden is my therapy. Find more ways to grow at miraclegro. Com. This has been watched around the globe. This is the case that is the convergence of media. The case has taken on a truly international meaning. I think the whole world was watching. Outside of that courtroom, the biggest Mass Movement for Human Rights in the history of our species is waiting. This is a powerful moment in american history. I fist pumped. I just had an enormous sense of relief. This is the beginning of something. When you saw Derrick Chauvin putting his hands behind his back being handcuffed and led out of the courtroom, what did you think . Justice laura that right there is a perfect distillation treating a I Trial this fraught with emotion as sort of like a super bowl. And their reaction showed you that they thought their team won. Joining me now is texas Governor Abbott and Laura Logan Host of logan has no agenda. Laura the Medias Coverage of this during and after the trial, your reaction . Well, the Medias Coverage has been consistent with the last few years, laura, where they take whatever narrative that they want, and that is fueled by political opportunists and leaders and activists and organizers, and they run with it regardless. And they completely ignore the view of millions of americans, they ignore the context, they ignore the history. They dont try to dig below the surface, and they just push out this constant, Constant Barrage of propaganda, regardless of the facts. And, you know, sure, you know, there are many aspects of this that were reported that were shocking that the whole country united in condemning. Thats absent from the narrative. So one of the other things they do is leave out critical parts of the story and they only cover the story that they want over and over again. And then they claim the Moral Authority of objectivity and they have total information dominance. So it really doesnt matter what they do. And even when they get it wrong, even when theyre exposed like they were with Officer Sip Nick who was not killed with a Fire Extinguisher at the capitol on june 6th, right . And when they got it wrong with russia collusion, trump was not a traitor, not a russian spy not working for vladimir putin, none of it matters. Because by the time we find out the truth, the News Cycle has moved on, or they never, ever tell the Truth Laura they dont have to. So people who only watch those channels they dont have to. And people who follow them and watch those, they dont know the truth a lot of the times. Laura no. Well, we just pointed that out earlier, dan, a new survey about race in america, and people have a total misperception about just how rampant racism is. But heres what the aclu, dan, said about todays verdict. The aclu is glad The Jury brought back this verdict. We think it is a step towards accountability, but also want to be clear that Accountability Isnt Justice. While this is an act of accountability and we are glad that this is the verdict, we need to be focusing on real justice in the long term as Well Laura do you have any idea what real justice is in an individual context . So Accountability Isnt Justice . They dont even make sense when they speak. No. You know, laura, the injure obviously came up with the right verdict, you heard the Evidence And America saw the video. Laura since ive been the Lieutenant Governor in texas, 49 Police Officers have been killed in the line of duty. Ive been to a lot of funerals. What happened to George Floyd shouldnt have happened, but what happens to Police Officers every day on the street, black, white, male, female, across the country, whos there to mourn for them. Where is america in the streets saying we also reject the violence of police by criminals. Your earlier Guest Brandon was spot on in so much of what he said. I just feel fortunate that we have men and women willing every day to go out there and put their life on the line for others. We have got to bring back this respect for police as well as those victims. And where there are bad cops well focus on the bad cops and remove them. Cops dont like bad cops. You know, laura, i have so many friends who are depressed by what they see every night on the news and what they see on the streets and by this propaganda thats put out against good police, brave police. And i just say to america, rise above it. I willing nowhere them. Because im out every day working with black people, brown people, white people. I dont feel whats out there. To kwok charles barkley, which i dont do very often. Most white people are great and most people of color are great and we have to ignore the left, the marxists, the socialists who want to tear us down. So rise above it. Dont let them get you down. And everyday, just make a person of color when you meet them, respect them, make them feel great which we do. And if youre a person of color make the person whos white feel great and respect them. We have to bring the country together and not listen to the prop began defendants, the Maxine Waters, and we can rise above it because were better than they are, were better than Cnn And Msnbc and the print media. We can rise above it laura i think the goal that youve reported on so often, so well, where groups like antifa are concerned, is theyre not interested in rising above everything. Theyre interested in one thing repeated many times tonight, revolution. The revolution has begun. Laura, when you hear that, what does that tell you . Thats just further confirmation of what ive been studying, you know, for the past couple years, laura. I go to, as a journalist, i try to understand what lies behind the euphemisms and the words that they use. So i go to history. I go particularly to what they say about themselves. I go to the ground. I look at their actions. And i can tell you what ive found is that this is not an accident. The demonizing of police is orchestrated. Its well funded and it is backed by the most powerful people in this country. It does not represent the views, as Dan Patrick was saying there, of most americans of all races, not hispanic americans or black americans, Asian Americans or white americans, and yet it is all that we hear about. And it is not journalists who make up these narratives. They have Inherit Baez which is exploited by these political operatives but there is an ideology, taking moments for a Mass Movement and you look it up on line theres a ton of writing about this and thats what they do here. They set up an infrastructure of xfinity groups, their word, comprised of all these different organizations, whether its social Justice Laura and then they amplified it. Marksist mutual aid societies and work together, have an infrastructure in place and when the next shooting happens theyre ready to go. They create that Moment Laura theyre already ready. Laura, sorry about that, but weve got to roll. Thats all the time we have tonight. Dont forget set your dvr every monday through friday at 10 00 p. M. Shannon bream will have continuing coverage of the fallout of the verdict next. And were going to make sure that these opportunities are equally available to women as well as men. Because theres an interesting fact, in case you didnt know. Hardhats are actually unisex. Everybodys laughing. Greg no. No one was laughing kamala. [cheers and applause]
