They dont have enough foods, water kids are showering once a week and now sending them out by bus or sending them by plane to other places around the country. So the problems dont end even when theyre moved inland and numbers keep rising you look at the numbers for Unaccompany Minors for february, it is over 9,000 thats up 61 from just one month ago. So now, the committee theyre talking about an enormous like a 23 trillion dollar Infrastructure Package and we have a Committee Hearing two days ago with secretary and we talked and we said listen i think American People would support this idea of transportation and infrastructure, improving the aging infrastructure we have and improving our roads across the country. But if they want to restore a bunch of garbage into this i think talks will quickly, quickly dismantle and theyre going to have going tore a very difficult time. Because we need to pox on transportation and infrastructure. Jon i agree with you i think americans would support Infrastructure Spending because we have some crumbling roads and Rusting Bridges and that kind of thing but theres talk that the president s Infrastructure Package could include things like Free Community college and free universal prekindergarten for every child not necessarily related to infrastructure. Well, of course, theyre not and if you remember President Biden when he was inaugurated on january 20th he talked about bipartisanship and working on the other side of the aisle. Bringing everybody together, but i tell you in the 90 days ive been up there i havent seen it. So we just hope that cooler heads will prevail that there will be some democrats on this Tni Committee will look at this for what it is. And try to reach across the aisle. Built a bipartisanship and pass the Infrastructure Bill that the American People can accept. Because this is another couple of trillion dollars. I mean, the spending in the swamp is getting ridiculous. Jon we have the graphic if you want to look at the National Debt clock 28trillion Dollars i should say right now 28 Trillion Dollars right now, the projection is that in 2025, four years from now, the National Debt is going to stansd at 49. 5 trillion dollars. Now there are some i guess you would say more centrist democrats urging president s to put forward a bill that you republicans could get onboard with because there wasnt a single republican vote there was a 1. 9 trillion coronavirus package that senator mcconnell just so you know it is just double talk. I would hope that the president would look at this and say okay lets focus on transportation and infrastructure. But if he decides in the others want to throw a bunch of garbage into this bill, obviously, it wont get through the republicans were not going to support it listen we have an ailing infrastructure, and we need to improve our roadways here an my Congressional District but if they want to throw a bunch of garbage into this thing i cannot support it and you wont get other republicans to do it either. Maybe the democrats yeah the democrats may not need it. Because if they do this they go through reconciliation they wont need a republican to support it. Jon i suppose one item that would not be part of the Infrastructure Package proposal from the white house would be working on the border wall. The Biden Administration stopped all construction on the wall that trump was working to build. I know youre going to the border. I want to put up some statistics, the number of children caught crossing the border or trying to cross this year in january numbers stood at 5700. In february, it was 9400, and the projection is in march there will be 16,000 children prangedded trying to cross the Bender Numbers go up from there. What you do you say to people of the district and people in the country about whats beginning on, congressman . I think you know, im heading down to the border with a bunch of our texas delegation on monday, and will be there through wednesday and were trying to inform and educate the public especially texas on actually whats happening and it is more than texas everybody across country better wake up and truly see whats happening here because numbers are staggering. I believe that our federal government right now we have more children in our federal custody for the fast ten years. We have more today than weve had in past ten years it was 2010 and he was the president back then it was obama. And so the problem is going to continue to get worse, and why is it going to get worse . Is because biden doesnt consider this a crisis. Hes not willing to address it. His Vice President asked the other day a reporter asked are you going to visit the border and her ridiculous sarcastic laugh like im not going to get ms.
