reopen, came stop stopped purchases after they were instructed on the platform. jillian: lawsuits and customer complaints. >> reporter: it has the internet buzzing, the company says they plan to, quote, allow limited buying and will monitor and make adjustments as they see fit and try to clarify what happened yesterday saying it was a risk management decision that was not made under direction of the marketmakers. it was it was two lawsuits last night. the new york ag is involved that is reviewing the company's decision to restrict trading of stocks. the ag says, quote, we are aware of concerns regarding activity on the robin hood apps that includes trading related to the game stop stock, we are reviewing this matter. after two separate lawsuits were filed against robin hood alleging they are manipulated the platform but the ceo of the trading apps defended that. >> to protect the firm and protect our customers we had to limit buying in these stocks, we did this proactively, thousands of other securities remain tradeable on the platform. >> reporter: people were protesting during this chaos, people can be heard yelling shame, asking people at the new york stock exchange how much money they may, even ted cruz and aoc agree there needs to be more information on the decision to block trading. leon cooperman lashed out at the situation. >> the reason the market is doing what it is doing his people are staying at home getting checks from the government. it is a way of attacking wealthy people and it is inappropriate. we'll have to work together and pull together. >> reporter: david fort noises there needs to be an investigation. >> there has to be an investigation, people have to go to jail. whether that happens i don't know but i have never been more convinced about market manipulation and the hedge fund's controlling the game then today. >> reporter: he will join us to discuss his thoughts on the situation with robin hood. kind of a confusing story. jillian: conservative commentator rush limbaugh says this mirrors what is happening in politics. >> it is not just political, the elites are bent out of shape that a bunch of average ordinary users figured out how to make themselves billionaires. if you figure out how to make a lot of money and you're like donald trump and figure out how to get elected and figure out how to beat the deep state they will come out and wipe you out and destroy you. that is what is happening with game stop. now they are actually making it clear to anybody who has the ability to notice that you are not allowed to use the stock market the way they do. you are not allowed to profit, you're not allowed to make the kind of money they do. the game stop business makes this something that is understandable beyond a political world and that is its value. it is not just political anymore. it is not just that you can't think for yourself on issues and matters of politics. everything is bipartisan backlash following a new report on nursing home coronavirus death in his state. a report from the state attorney general's office, number of nursing home residents who died from the virus is much higher than previously reported. >> an additional 3800 people should be counted under the state's tally of nursing home deaths even though they passed away at the hospital. that brings the total to 13,000 people would former new york governor george pataki coming up with the leadership. >> this is a new low. for months legislators have tried to get those numbers from the governor's office have been stonewalled and now we know why. >> the health department backs up this report while bill deblasio calls for the full truth. >> a story that got a little attention in the media but corruption scandal at the highest level of new york state government. there have been advocates who lost loved ones who have been asking for answers and accountability and transparency and at every turn the governor and his staff individuals. one of the most notable and effective advocates is janice dean and they have belittled her each and every day going so far as calling phase family advocates part of a cold. today, the first step towards justice. we need to get answers and dishes subpoenas immediately against the governor, the commissioner of health in new york state, doctor zucker and his senior staff because the corruption is the cover-up. todd: janice dean lost her in-laws to the coronavirus after they were in new york nursing homes. she will join us live later. the white house, defending president biden's use of executive orders. >> the president responding to criticism over his orders saying he is undoing the, quote, damage done by donald trump. >> president biden is now dealing new orders on immigration. what is this about? >> the president was supposed to send orders pertaining to immigration, rolling out trump era policies that fox news learning some or all are being hunted to next week, no explanation for the delay but let's talk about the avalanche of actions in the first we 10 days, president biden exercising those powers 40 times, 25 of those have been executive orders. let's compare that to previous presidents in their first 10 days, trump had six, obama five, george w. bush and clinton two, already the aggressive use pandering criticism from the liberal new york times editorial board who said put it down yesterday, the headline read ease up on the executive actions and writing the editorial this, quote, president biden is right to what you're governor had to say. >> we focus protection on elderly people rather than trying to shut the entire society down. lockdowns don't cure anything. even putting aside the economy lockdowns don't work. to take the proper prakashan. todd: what is your advice to leaders in the federal government pushing lockdowns in some form almost one year into the pandemic? >> they have to open their eyes and see whether they worked or not, states like california and new york, they have the biggest problems and don't work. my advice to other policymakers is take the information from the task force, they are designed to focus on the problem and our responsibility as lawmakers is to look at the whole problem so we can solve not only the medical problem but the economic problem. jillian: california, it boggles my mind every time we do stories about outdoor dining bans, we've seen that forever at this point. when do we get on the same page the with the right way to move forward with it because we are coming up on a year and people, businesses have been lost. >> we have to take politics out of the science, we hear people from the left espousing the most draconian things they can think of and not living up to them themselves. until we take politics out of the science we are not going to be on the same page. todd: we appreciate your insight, thank you very much. jillian: after defunding the police the city of austin is using those funds to help homeless and pricing hotels. todd: mobilizing to impeach a fellow member, wearing a blue lives matter mask. ♪♪ todd: student with us. negative attitudes towards members, blatant disregard of the effect of controversial topics such as blue lives matter and how it affects the black and brown community and blatant disregard for anyone's use. why is blue lives matter controversial? >> counteracting the black lives matter movement, to understand the impact on black and brown community. todd: how do you respond to the attack that you blame disregard for anyone's views. why do they say? >> i simply disagree with their view pursuing censorship policy and the other thing, they are coming after me. todd: why have colleges grown so anti-opposing viewpoints when literally you get marketed by these colleges as intellectual bastian's where everybody can express their viewpoints and you can learn from fellow students. why has that been done away with? >> very good question on college campuses. there is a culture being created that affects the next generation of students. it is a concern. why they are starting i have no idea. todd: i raise this point. when i was in college, they call misa but i'm older than you. i graduated in 2000. i had a class with a gentleman who literally wrote the book on welfare culture and one of the members of that class is now one of the most conservative federal judges on the bench, we had civil discourse, discussed things openly, learn from each other. i feel like that doesn't exist anymore. would you agree? >> i do agree. todd: that is a shame, not every student willing to be as public as you. what do your fellow conservative students tell you in private? >> what to my, conservatives tell me in private? what they tell me in private a lot of them tell me they are thankful they have someone stand up for their right to freedom of speech and being able to treasury secretary, she was paid nearly $1 million by one of the hedge funds involved in this. she's up to her neck and it. look at robin hood, the people they hired as their lobbyists and consultantss. it shows how corrupt the system is, this story has a long way to go. jillian: it will reopen for limited buying today. todd: a series of executive orders rolling back restrictions in the us, the president reversing several antiabortion policies under the trump administration was one of the orders, the controversial mexico city policy barring us foreign aid to any organization, progressive lawmakers praise the administration's pro-choice agenda as republicans plead for the president to reconsider. no matter the policy we must always push to protect life. >> this political football going back and forth, we knew this was going to happen. it is unfortunate that happened. a reminder to those who care about protecting life that whatever happens at the top we have work to do. life should be protected. >> so many events this will be virtual. >> new biden administration backing teachers unions to refuse to return to the classroom. >> what you are seeing is schools that haven't made investments to keep students safe. we need to do things to open safely. most teachers i talked to wants to be back in the classroom and know that it is safe. >> that up families protesting as the cdc announces kids can safely go back to school, many asking what is the hold up, joining me to discuss, jessica, fox news medical contributor dr. janette nesheiwat and advocating for in person learning, steve, thank you for joining me, appreciate it. jessica, as a teacher, a high school teacher are you fed up and if so how fed up are you? >> i want to go back so my students can learn correctly. students progressing socially, they are not able to come back. jillian: have you had students reach out in frustration? >> they do. a lot of them want to go back. they feel they can do it safely and it is better for them to be back. jillian: let's pull up these mitigation strategies for schools and that includes consistent use of masks, social distancing to the largest extent possible, hygiene and respiratory etiquette, contact tracing in collaboration with your local health department. what does the science say? >> if we follow the cdc guidelines we can reopen school safely and it is easy. we just have to have health safety action plan in place which starts off with the prevalence of covid-19 in your community. is it low? is there a strategic plan to protect the students and staff who are most at risk and ensure everyone is wearing their mass, looking at the ventilation system, filtration system, there is a lot that can be done. the science and data and facts tell us we have the ability to do it and it is a matter of putting those protocols in place. one of the top priorities getting students back at their desks in the classroom is critical that we ensure the overall health and well-being of children is met, they need to be in an environment conducive for learning, growth, cognitive development. they require social interaction and social engagements, it can infect them in so many ways, mentally, physically, emotionally so being in school is like nourishment and food for their brains. jillian: you have been treating patients from day one when this started. telling what you have seen how many kids you have treated and any reason they shouldn't be as a doctor? >> the data, the transmission rate in school is less then that in the community. i have seen hundreds of covid-19 patients and a few that were you on children, adolescents, the majority of them were adults, older patients. that goes to show you who the virus is affecting the majority of the time, older patients up to 75, 85, is a blessing. jillian: i am sure that is why you and others are fighting and are frustrated because you want your kids to be able to go back to school. >> yes. that is absolutely right. we are frustrated at this point as the doctor pointed out, we enacted the safest -- safety required protocol for elementary school k-5 opening for this past week. quite a bit of remediation work had been done to buildings, various facilities and safety protocols which met state requirements for one reason or another, they have not been able to satisfactorily come to an agreement, children remains abandoned, the school remains closed, they move away from the key constituent which are the children, the welfare and all the residual effects of being out of school, it is a difficult situation. we are frustrated and pushing hard and don't see any reason given the direction of the cdc or the apps store, the numbers support going back to school, we see that "happening now". jillian: have you got a vaccine yet? >> i on. jillian: will you get it when you are able to get it? >> i don't plan on getting it anytime soon. jillian: thank you for joining us. such an wrote an op-ed title these up on the executive action, they write by design such actions are more limited in what they can achieve them legislation and presidents to overreach invite intervention by underreported covid-19 death and nursing homes. todd: janice dean whose in-laws died from the coronavirus in a nursing home said justice might come soon. she joins us live next. todd: a harrowing report that the number of nursing home residents who died of covid-19 could be 50% higher than what the state reported. jillian: janice dean lost her in-laws to covid-19 two separate nursing homes and joins us with her reaction. i have to imagine you feel some sense of relief because you have been one of the most vocal advocates for so many people who lost family members and didn't know where to turn. how do you feel? carley: >> janice: a sense of relief but there's more work to do. this is just the door opening to a bipartisan investigation from both sides, the governor, the administration at health department which i have been asking for since the beginning. although this is good news that what we were suspecting is true, those numbers are much higher than reported and they lied about it and deceived all of us, there is still more work to do and let me say this. i know you are putting a lot of weight on me saying i hope to do this but fox news, "fox and friends," my friends in this building at fox news, i am so grateful because this is something they never had to experience before, tremendous loss on a personal level land you have given me this platform to use this for good and i'm so grateful to my bosses, i don't think this would have happened without "fox and friends" and all the good people that helped me tell my story. todd: people don't realize how good our bosses are behind-the-scenes. in your case allowing you to amplify his cause to the people. deaths were caused by insufficient ppe for staff, insufficient testing, lack of nursing home compliance, and the march order to admit covid-19 patients into nursing homes. as someone who's willing to regulate everyone else, why did governor cuomo fail so miserably at this? >> janice: a good question and that is why our work is just beginning. there needs to be an investigation to this governor. he needs to be put on a stand to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth and get expert witnesses, nursing home workers on the stand. this is bigger than all of us. the nursing home industry, taking floorboards and looking underneath and seeing all the rocks. this might be a bigger story we need to follow in terms of the whole nursing home industry. todd: you have been verbally attacked by many people including as you say some of the governor's spokespeople. what would you say to the governor if you were to have a conversation with him? >> janice: i don't know if that they would happen. i was hoping for in the beginning, i was hoping at some point on television during his press conferences he would say i am sorry for your loss. he has never done that. he just passed blame, blamed everyone else and everything else for the executive order he signed for 46 days to put infected patients in nursing homes and i believe that is one of the main reasons we had so many deaths today. todd: you are our friend and we miss the times we could joke around about the weather. this is a serious story, deadly serious, literally deadly serious and the country, state, we owe you a debt of gratitude for having a voice for those people, in senior citizens homes and nursing homes, they can't defend themselves,
