He says that he now wants to increase that second round of stimulus checks from 600 to 2,000. Now that 2,000 amount, that is the same amount that democrats have been asking for for months. Well, it is kind of frightening if you compare what is going on now to how the press handled the Income Administration four years ago where there was no such thing as Russian Disinformation. Everything was hard russian intelligence that had to be believed no matter what and taken seriously. We spent four years talking about it and impeach the president and you have the credible evidence being put forth and honestly peter doocy is the only person who is asking the president any questions about it. And of course he gets dismissed and mocked by joe biden. And but these are serious questions. At the very, very least it suggests that joe biden is not being honest and the fact that we went through this entire campaign and joe biden never had to answer any of these questions and he goes on late night tv to talk about to answer questions from comedians, but doesnt have to answer questions to the press. It is a double standard. I have gotten used to the double standards in washington but these are serious issues that call into serious question the allegiances of the incoming administration. Charlie, is there a possibility that could still happen in the near future . Absolutely. And i think the important point here is the issue of the politicizing of the investigation. It is very clear that both during the Russia Investigation that weve endured for the past four years and all of the questions about joe bidens relationship, whether its through hunter to ukraine or to russia or to china, that all of it has been politicized to a degree that quite frankly i think bill barr would agree with me on this. He is a great patriot and great Attorney General, and he understands his lane. Thats one of the things that is so important why bill barr is so good as an Attorney General. He understands if there are issues of politics that are above his pay grade and that goes to the president of the United States. And when you have this degree of politics being injected into all of these very important questions, i think without a doubt that raises that sort of raises the decision out of the Attorney Generals hands and becomes more of a political question. I think that i think the president would be absolutely this administration would be within its right to install a Special Prosecutor regardless of what i have my own reservations about Special Prosecutor statutes. I dont like things outside of the four corners of the constitution. But if you are going to have these statutes around, this is a case where you would want a Special Prosecutor. Sandra i want to move onto the president calling this relief bill a disgrace. Slamming the 600 payments. Call for more. Nancy pelosi says lets do it. If we dont basically stop this bill it will certainly be a good down payment on both parties being guilty. Some of the, quote, 60 separate bills are bills that republicans, who should vote no on this, voted yes because their pet project and bill got in there. The list of who is getting propped up is unbelievable. Sandra rand paul struck me a few minutes ago when he was on fox news. He said this is a socialist bill and he said my colleagues, republican colleagues, he said, are no better than democrats if they vote for this thing. Where does this go next . Rand paul is not wrong. If peter doocy is a onehorse pony, then washington is a onetrick town. This is their trick. If you have a shed and you want to invite rats and vermin into the shed, leave it cluttered and make it complicated and they can hide in all the corners and theyll live there forever. If you want to get rid of them you have to clean it up. Thats what they do with these bills. We have one problem here. That problem is covid. We need to mix that problem. The Covid Relief Bill, the 900 billion bill and then the Spending Bill of 1. 4 trillion. They had combined into a separate bill. My reading of the politics, sandra, is that up to this point the hold up on the Covid Relief Bill. Political blame for that has been wholly almost entirely on house Speaker Nancy Pelosi. As you know she was on another Cable Network yesterday being pressed on why she had held this bill up for so long and she became virtually incoherent trying to explain herself. Her own Democratic Caucus has blamed her for the loss of some of the seats in the house because she held up the bill. Now i would say if the president Presses Forward on holding up the entire piece of legislation and the checks going out whether 600 or 2,000, the blame will reverse over and start going over towards the republicans since he is the leader of the republican party. You know what . Some of those republicans and distraught voters just may be down there in georgia waiting for checks of one sort or another and ready to vote in that january 5th election. Some even struggling to put food on the table. So talk about the timing, dan. Well, the timing is unfortunate. I think thats why the republicans may have felt they had to get this done. They wanted the Unemployment Insurance and the relief, the Small Business aid. Most of the decent things that are in the Covid Relief Bill they wanted to get that out. And the 600 figure on those checks, that was a bitter negotiation, a difficult negotiation. This is what they settled on. This is the political process. And they really do want that process Treasury Secretary mnuchin said he was willing to start sending the checks out monday morning. Yeah, it is a difficult time with the Coronavirus Spiking right now and more people losing their jobs and getting sicker, they need that money as quickly as possible. And the idea of holding it up for the rest of this congress i think is something that a lot of americans just are not at this point in time, just not going to understand why politics even if its being led by the president , is holding up the execution of this money. Sandra why do you think he is doing it . I think he is doing it because he wants to put pressure on congress and i think quite frankly President Trump hasnt been much in the news lately, sandra, he has been very quiet. Now he is front and center again. Thats where he likes to be. I suspect that thats probably as far as he is going to push it. It is really difficult to me to believe that President Trump is going to demand that Congress Come back to washington and spend another week trying to negotiate this bill. I suspect he is going to go off for christmas and celebrate it like everyone else. Sandra speaking of demands here are some of the demands from the president. President trump im asking congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low 600 to 2,000, or 4,000 for a couple. Im also asking congress to immediately get rid of the wasteful and unnecessary items from this legislation. Sandra you know, i go back to darrell issa, we heard from him earlier. He said both parties are complicit. If we dont stop this bill it will certainly be a good down payment on both parties being guilty.
