But now the Attorney General is filing the Restraining Order against him because of essentially a religious question because he is trying to they are trying to keep the religious schools open, the Attorney General Danielle Cammeron tweeted earlier this year we issued guidance stating that closing religious schools during the pandemic would risk violating the u. S. Constitution and state law as well. In his latest School Closure order the guidance as a result we filed a lawsuit new federal Court Challenging the governors order in Person Learning at religious schools. The ability to provide and receive religious education is one of the freedoms protected by the first amendment. So who is right . Well, this is a really interesting case. First of all, have you got the governor and the Attorney General in the state at really loggerheads. And both have very good arguments to mangeght the Kentucky Governor just recently won a unanimous decision from the kentucky Supreme Court. Which was a huge blow to his critics. But the thing to remember about that is that opinion really dealt with his ability to issue pandemic orders. The court itself said that this largely focuses on Property Rights that are subject to a lower standard called the Rationale Interest Test or rational basis test i should say. And what the Attorney General is trying to do is kick this into a higher level of scrutiny. The strict scrutiny standard. If it does if he succeeds in doing that then the governor is going to have quite a challenge on his hands because the Kentucky Attorney generals brief is filled with references to scientific studies, the approach of other countries; the cdc all rejecting the closure of schools for young children. So he is actually citing the science as much as the law. So, its going to depend a lot on this question of what the standard of review will be. Its going to be 60 degrees warm enough to be outside. Turn your ceiling fans on and have them circulating to pull the air up. Turn your hvac system on continuous. If you are next to somebody for more than 15 minutes within six feet. Then, you know, if that person tested positive, then you would have to be worried. First, i want to say i didnt come out against the governors orders, actually, its the director of the department of health and Human Services orders because its within his purview to unsure the Health Care Systems can provide services to folks and protect schools in the middle of the flu season. Were going to do what weve always done since covid has taken really charge in the state. And its support the directors in this way. Our staff has been directed to, when we get reports of people violating the Public Health directive, to respond, engage folks, educate them, and weve found in michigan, especially in washington county, great compliance with that strategy. The problem with the residential order is its problematic for us for a couple reasons. The Fourth Amendment constitutional protections against unreasonable searches and seizures. Brian yeah. There has to be a very concerted effort on the part of republicans and independents to make sure that the only people who are voting in georgia are those who are legally eligible to vote and they just vote once with. You cant have the cemeteries showing up to vote this time. And i just think its very important for people to understand the Balance Of Power. If the republicans hold the senate, even if youre not that fond of the republicans i happen to be, but i know some people arent the reason that the Balance Of Power is important, it requires a president and for that matter a house to do some things that require some bipartisanship. Weve seen what happens if one party has everything. They just run ram shod over not just the other party, but over the American People, half of whom may not agree with those policies. So thats why it becomes an important thing to the American People to have some balance, to have a firewall, to have some semblance of saying, hey, you guys may have won the election slightly, but you didnt win over half the american population, and you shouldnt just ignore them. So well find out whether or not the people of georgia help america have that firewall. Steve so you call it a firewall, but it looks like gridlock to some if youve got a Republican Senate and a democratic house. Neither can get everything they want, so sometimes theres gridlock and then sometimes it turns out they Work Together and do something. Well, the Rolling Stones were actually great political scientists back in the 60s when they did their song you cant always get what you want. And thats really the rule of politics. If you get everything what you want all the time, it leads to corruption. The best government is a government that requires both sides to give a little, sit down, negotiate, work things occupant because the american occupant because the American Interest is not just one radical point of view. There are many points of view. And if you have that divided government, ill be honest with you, gridlock is better than a runaway train. So thats why this Georgia Senate race becomes so important. Gridlock keeps us from doing stupid things that if a party gets arrogant and thinks they dont have to be accountable to anybody. But, again, the real issue is that what steve noted, that he made these rules and then on the other hand is telling ainsley hypocrisy, right. Its not just hypocrisy, it is abuse of power. The fact that he i mean, i was traveling through the entire campaign. You had agents waiting on the tarmac because they wanted to track where you were. The fact that they cant get a haircut, but all these elected officials go on tv, and they look just fine. And its been that way. This is from the cull immediate family kill immediate family, this is an heirloom. Brian yes. This is really good, and we always have it, and my aunt kathy is taking over for my mother. We call it dressing because we dont actually stuff the turkey. We like it next to our turkey, and we put gravy over the top of it, and its delicious. And we put some cranberries next to it. We mix them all together and eat them in one bite. Steve now, what we do in our house in addition to having the pies, and we normally have the special ritz cracker crust Peanut Butter pie, dig in ainsley i can taste it . Steve this is beautiful, this is a great dessert. This is one of the favorites, i got it from one of the guys here at work. This is called the pavlova, and essentially, its a beautiful meringue that is topped with whipped cream, and it is delicious. It makes you drool like pavlovs dogs. Finish just have a little bite. Brian steve, number one, youve got to whip thanksgiving together. Usually people take all day to make it, but youre saying you can get it done quick. Steve for instance, those mashed poe today toes, you take four cups of leftover mashed today toes, but you know what . We actually used instant potatoes and used half a can of pureed pumpkin, one tablespoon of butter in with the pumpkin, mix it up and then put it in that.
