GUWAHATI: The foundation stone of a community biogas plant under GOBAR-Dhan Scheme under (SBM-G) Phase II was laid by PHED Minister Rihon Daimary at Moupur village of Nartap Goan Panchayat, Dimoria Development Block under Kamrup (Metro) district on Friday. Tamulpur MLA Emmanuel Mushahary and Dispur MLA Atul Bora were also present at the programme.
Speaking at the programme, Daimary said, "People of Moupur GP will adopt this plant as their own/community ownership covering six families and two community kitchens. This is the first time that this scheme has come up in Assam in Moupur GP under SBM-G. This will help in visual cleanliness of villages under SBM-G,
