Rodger Addil, 72, of Beacon Falls, a former town resident, was a member of the Orange Police Department for nearly 30 years, starting as a supernumerary officer in 1971 and rising to the rank of head of the detective bureau. In a post on the Police Department Facebook page in “memory of our retired lieutenant and friend,” the department said, “May he find peace and comfort in God's loving arms. We will never forget him.”
