Former Oakland IRS agent, five others charged in COVID fraud

Six people, including a 58-year-old man currently working as an Oakland tax enforcement officer, will appear in federal court next week in connection with a scheme to use faked federal tax returns to conceal money from a series of COVID-fraud loans, a U.S. Justice Department spokesman said Wednesday.
