The forest department in Belagavi gears up to plant 15 lakh saplings this monsoon season. Various species of saplings are being prepared for distribution under different schemes, including MGNREGA and Agriculture Forestry Scheme. Farmers can receive incentives for planting and nurturing saplings on their lands. Public participation is encouraged to actively participate in afforestation programs.
