Food drive success with Rotary of Gastonia and church partnership Service was placed above self with the Rotary Club of Gastonia's food drive partnership last week, according to Rotary member Kathryn Styers. Styers has been a Rotary member for seven years and member of First United Methodist church for 26 years. "It was very successful," Styers said. "Not only were there church members that came out with bags of dried goods but the community showed up and we were able to fill up pickup trucks with dried goods and toiletries." Rotary of Gastonia partnered with Redeemer Lutheran, First Baptist and First United Methodist churches to help Crisis Assistance Ministry to replenish its shelves during the pandemic.
