Firstly, this weekend sees the return of Holker Hall’s Spring Fair. The annual event will see a host of delicious food, hand-made crafts and gift exhibitors at the 19th century hall in Grange. Visitors can also expect glorious flowers and plants and lively entertainment, as well as the fair’s first ever dog show. Another great day out can be had at the picturesque Sizergh Castle, near Kendal. The Gothic home to the Strickland family can be viewed from the gardens currently, with the home not yet open due to Covid-19 restrictions. The gardens are open from 10am to 5pm across the weekend and visitors can also pick up a refreshing drink or recharge with a delicious meal from the castle’s café.
