Crews from Carrollton, White Hall and Roodhouse fire departments were called to a fire about 8:12 a.m. Friday at 524 N. Main St. The building houses the Clough and Grummel law office and an apartment, where the fire originated in a bedroom, Carrollton fire Chief Tim Thaxton said. “There was a lot of heat damage to the upstairs apartment and a lot of water damage to the law office downstairs,” he said.
