Lands Minister Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu said this will happen when the legal battle between the state and former lessee, Nauru Phosphate Trust, is resolved. Ratu Naiqama said the government cancelled the lease after the Nauruans did not maintain, operate or renovate the historic hotel after taking it over and planning to redevelop it.
