Fenland community car scheme is at "crisis point" and needs more drivers | Updated: 11:11, 10 December 2020 A volunteer car scheme which helps Fenland people access hospital and doctors' appointments has issued an urgent plea for more drivers. Phil Couldridge, who helps co-ordinate the Chatteris, Benwick, Doddington and Manea with March Community Car Scheme, says they are now at a "crisis point" when it comes to drivers. He said: "Since and during the initial lockdown the car scheme has continued, however as all our drivers were over 70 or had health issues, and most of them have had to stop driving for the scheme.
