Plus critics blasting media for reporting speculation but not the facts and how that is harming the National Conversation. Also this protesters disrupting trump rallies and a big fight with cdc officials over covid19 cdc officials not wanting to restrict the southern border even though that move would put immigrants in Detention Centers at risk of getting sick as well as border officials and border states the rest of the country. Countries south of the border restrict their own borders due to the pandemic. Officials say this is a disturbing story. Weve got it for you. Thanks for joining us, im elizabeth macdonald. The evening edit starts right now. Elizabeth okay. Welcome to the show. Youre watching the fox business network. Lets get to Edward Lawrence standing by at walter reed with breaking news. Good to see you, edward. Reporter liz, 30 minutes the president is expected to leave walter reed hospital. The marine one landing right over there in order to take the president back to the white house n a series of tweet this is afternoon the president announced he would be leaving the hospital today. He says he feels great. He said dont be afraid of covid. Dont let it dominate your life. We have developed under the Trump Administration some really great drugs and knowledge. I feel better than i did 20 years ago. Twitter usage back to normal levels so to speak if that is an indication for you. He tweeted earlier that the media is upset he get into a secure vehicle to thank fans and supporters. He added if he did not do, the media would say it was rude. White house physician dr. Sean conley said that the president , he is back. He meet or exceeded criteria to be let out of the hospital and discharged. Conley said there are world class facilities a the white house to treat the president. They will do everything in their power to keep the president safe at the residence or the white house to do business of the country. On a secure trip, he took a secure trip yesterday around walter reed to wave at fans. He says all the precautions were taken, the secret Service Agent that drove the president was wearing ppe. Dr. Conley said those agents are in close proximity to the president inside of the white house taking the same precautions. Doctor says, the live virus has to leave the president s body in order for him to get out to campaign. Listen. This is a first thing we need to do that there is no evidence of live virus still present. That he could possibly transmit to others. Routinely we talk about a 10day window. Cdc guidelines but were checking him more routinely than just waiting 10 days. There is a possibility it is earlier than that. There is a chance that its a little bit later but we will know as soon as possible. And then well look at him clinically. Reporter as more people are testing positive in the white house, kayleigh mcenany, the press secretary testing positively along with two aides of hers. Theyre trying to figure out where this may have come from. Or folks within the circle of the president or testing positive related to the white house. Theyre trying to say did it start at the Supreme Court nomination that happened on saturday or some other point, a doctors visit to the white house where the president was talking about firstresponders who handle patients as they comb into the hospital. Trying to figure out exactly where this came from through tracing at the white house. Back to you. Elizabeth edward, thank you so much. We appreciate your reporting there. Joining me now is a former medical director of the peace corps. He is a doctor with deep knowledge of infectious diseases. He is back with us, dr. Stephen weinberg. Great to have you back on. How sick is the president . Does he need another month . What is his prognosis given what you know . The prognosis is excellent. The whole country heard exhaled when they heard from he was leaving. We have acronym, m hb. Maximum hospital benefit. That is when we send patients home. He reached m hb, he is going home. Elizabeth all right the doctors cannot keep him against his will. Comes on a day that the cdc cites new evidence that the virus is airborne. People say cdc gave conflicting information on number of issues and masks too. Do you believe, how long will it take before he is not infectious . Great question. The cdc and most of us recommend now someone who has a mild case you begin counting the day he was symptom tick, he or she. So that was thursday. You count 10 days. Really about eight days is fine. We had a couple days for good measure. 10 days having no fever for the last 24, 48 hours without taking anything for the fever. We think that is it. In fact we dont even recommend retesting them. People will shed the virus for weeks to months sometimes after theyre well. But usually now with a mild case like he had 10 days, he will be fine. And he will not be infectious, even if he has got virus. The virus is bound up by antibodies. He cant send it to anybody else. The virus within him is dead. Elizabeth are you sure he is had a mild case . That he is not infectious. The doctors say whether the illness will progress, plateau. It could go north or south. We is he getting a antibody regimen. The Monoclonal Antibody regiment from regeneron and remdesivir and steroids. Could that be masking the situation. Americans want the truth. Deliver us, honest fact all information. They keep telling us about the prognosis. The virus sets the rules. The public can handle the truth. A lack of transparency only feeds anxiety and conspiracy theories that are dominating social media. Do you believe that he is basically a mild case that he is contracted . I think it is. I think the results of whats happened since last thursday proved that. Youre right. Youre certainly right, we know thursday is when he got symptomatic. We think people probably shed the virus, are more infectious a day or two before they get symptomatic. Probably tuesday or wednesday of last week he had the highest level of body coming out of his body to go to other people. Liz there, is awful lot we learned about the virus the last nine months. There is a lot we dont know. Nobody can say absolutely, postively he is out of the woods. We know for example, this is not just a pulmonary disease, its a blood clotting disease, it is a extreme limiting disease. It is a brain disease. We learn more every single day. But im pretty confident saying he is over the hump and he is going home. Elizabeth doctor, by the way, we have breaking news coming in. They shut down the streets around the Walter Reed Medical Center is an indication the empty will be leaving tonight in our hour. Well stay on the story with this live shot youre looking at the Walter Reed Medical Center where the president will exit potentially 20 minutes time, take a helicopter back, marine one back to the white house. The decision to prescribe the steroid dexamethasone, does that jive with the Early Release timeline . If you have timeline, oxygen levels are dropping, that is hypoxia, that is bad. We hear from doctors, this is the time to be vigilant, monitoring somebody closely. Totally understand the white house has a medical unit. Are you worried he was given steroids . Steroids are different than the other drugs he was given. He was given an antiviral and he was given antibodies. There were to kill the bugs and control any bugs inside of him. The dexamethasone, the steroids are given for a different reason. Another problem we found out, we found out six, eight months ago, that you have a violent reaction from your antibodies. Theyre going after the bugs. Theyre trying to kill it. In doing so they also damage other tissues in your body. The dexamethasone is used to slow down that reaction, to keep your immune system from overworking, overreacting, killing other parts of your body besides the virus. The fact he was given that. I think the timing was a little bit early from what studies in england showed but they were on top of it. They knew what his antibodies were and levels were, so i think they probably did it and did the right thing. Elizabeth youre talking about the cytokine storm, that inflammatory reaction, the steroids is intended to stop the bodys natural immune response there weve been talking to doctors throughout the day. They watched him on his videos that was given. He was struggling to talk. He was struggling to use accessory muscles in neck and chest area. They were worried that he is suffering more severe case of covid, they could see him struggling to talk. Doing a kitchen sink basically approach to throw the kitchen sink at him. What is your response to that analysis . Well, they were seeing Different Things than i did because i, i have seen all the tweets he sent out and i didnt see him having any problems speaking. You have obviously got to have lots of air in your lungs to talk. Goes up through the trachea, goes up through your vocal chords and i didnt see him have a bit of trouble. The accessory muscles are by the way up in your neck. He had clothes on. You couldnt see the accessory muscles. Im sorry i dont agree with the opinion. Elizabeth were looking at a live shot. You see marine one approaching walter reed. President is expected to leave Walter Reed Medical Center in about now, 20 minutes time. Were on the story live for you this hour. Well take you, bring all of the breaking news developments. You can see marine one landing at Walter Reed Medical Center. So he did have hypoxia. It dropped twice. He basically you know, let me back up. Doctors say you know, when you talk about the oxygen level dropping as a quote, when you talk about it as a brief lowering of oxygen or a transient lowering that is not the way to talk about. It is about the level it dropped too and how long he needed the oxygen. That is what our sources are saying. The oxygen level was 93. The normal range is 95 , 100 saturation t went to 93. Then they stepped in and administered oxygen. So is that the way to look at it . It is about the level it dropped to and how long he needed supplemental oxygen . We heard he was on oxygen about an hour last week at one point . Both of those are correct, liz. How low it goes and stays there. 93 is fine. He was probably not short of breath at 93. When it starts going down from there, down below 90, disassociation curve, we call it falls off a cliff. When you get below 90, you go pretty fast. Because he was at walter reed, that is when things happen, it happened pretty fast. 93, 94 for an hour shows he had some lung infection. That is exactly where the bugs go. We know he had that. Elizabeth yeah. All right, were up against a hard break. Dr. Steve weinberg, we appreciate you coming on here for your expertise. Thanks so much for coming on here. Dr. Steve weinberg, former medical director for the peace corps. Were staying on the breaking news for you. Next up senator bill cassidy on what President Trumps covid19 diagnosis means for the next president ial debate a town hall in miami on october 15th. Weve got the new democrat strategy to block the Supreme Court nomination of judge Amy Coney Barrett and wait for it, guess who has got the plan to fight against the democrats . They aint going to win here. Wait until you hear what is coming up what republicans going to do with the democrats trying to stop judge Amy Coney Barrett. To stop judge Amy Coney Barrett. Now marine one is back at walter reed. It landed moments ago. They have blocked off the streets around Walter Reed Medical Center. The president will be airlifted out of there back to the white us reversal of the story we brought to you on friday. Welcome back to the show, senator bill cassidy. He is a former physician. Always great to have you on. Youre also a doctor. I really had, i went tough at dr. Stephen weinberg, i was tough with him, pushing him, i really asked tough questions before. He is saying listen, the president is in recovery. He feels like he has a mild case. What is your take on whats going on . I listened to the interview. Great interview. His doctors say his viral load is negative. Now your viral load is negative, means, one you will not infect other people but secondly it means that the virus is noing longer reproducing itself stimulating immunological response that can cause the sight toe kind crisis you mentioned as well. Doctors know what theyre doing. He will be monitored. On at earth hand they will do it so safely. Elizabeth dr. Stephen weinberg is an esteemed former medical director for the piece peace corps, he is agreeing what were saying. The Biden Campaign is open to holding the next president ial debate as a town hall october 15th. Can the president do it in person or virtually . Can do it in person absolutely. I was in quarantine, 10 days, or at least 24 hours after you passed your last symptom. He is apparently4 hours apparently last his last symptom. It will clearly be 10 days. He can safely go, presuming there is no relapse in symptoms. Elizabeth okay. So you personally had covid19, right . I did. Elizabeth you were saying you were in quarantine for 10 days. You went three days without symptoms. Is that what happened . Correct. Then you cam out, according to the cdc recommendations. I think i recall it is actually 24 hours without symptoms. Elizabeth okay. So, by the way, we also have the vicepresident ial debate. Joe biden running mate, that is Kamala Harris, will be debating Vice President pence. Vice president s pence of leadership of Covid Task Force will be front and center. The lags tile Kamala Harris debate ad republican when she ran for ag california. The Vice President will be barnstorming the country as well. Well monitor that wages along with what is happening with the president. I want to move on to this story were covering the Supreme Court nomination of Amy Coney Barrett. The democrats, senator, say that, listen, you have three senators ho are sick, thom tillis, rob johnson and michael lee. Ron johnson said i will wear a moon suit and vote if i have to show up to vote. Can you vote electronically . You cant vote electronically. Put the timeline. The hearing start theyre infected now. Doesnt mean theyre sick but theyre infected. Take 10 days for them to finish, they would be free of virus if you will, october 10th or 13th. That is when the hearings begin. They can anticipate in the hearings by zoom. Were already participating by zoom. They should be able to participate both lee and tillis on judiciary committee. The early a vote would take place is probably october 26th. They will be so far along pass their infectious state, past their sick state if you will, they can vote not wearing a moon suit. Wearing you know a Brooks Brothers suit if you will and they will be safe for both themselves and for others. I think this is the Democratic Party grasping at a straw trying to prevent a exceptionally wellqualified candidate being placed on the Supreme Court by the way [inaudible]. I hear what youre saying the Senate Judiciary hearing, the official hearing for judge barretts hearing october 12th, 9 00. The democrats are upset. Democrats upset over a case coming before the Supreme Court on obamacare. The election could be contested. Democrats say this what well do. Well stall the business at Senate Judiciary level. Stop the
