And in our system, criminal justice isnt the quest for revenge, its the quest for truth, evidence and facts and the use of that truth as we fairly apply our laws. Our reaction to the truth today says what kind of society we want to be. We really want the truth, or do we want a truth that fits our narrative. Do we want the facts, or are we content to blindly accept our own version of events . We as a Community Must make this decision. Lou the decision has been reached at least in the courtroom, and you see a discussion forming in the streets of louisville. Soon after the announcement of the indictment, these people took to the streets. These were not, as i said, peaceful protesters. They formed a mob quickly, carrying bats, wearing hard hats, helmets, gas masks, carrying shields, knives, night sticks and at least one member of this mob openly carrying a rifle. They dont appear to be looking to protest peacefully. They seem to be preparing for conflict. We will continue to monitor the situation in louisville throughout the hour. Earlier today on capitol hill the longawaited report about hunter and joe bidens corrupt ties to ukrainian Natural Gas Firm burisma. Senators ron johnson and Chuck Grassley today published the report of their investigation into the bidens connections to Ukrainian Natural Gas Company brees massachusetts the report painting a burisma. The report painting a clear picture, Hunter Bidens dealings were suspicious to officials, warning the seat on the board of directors created a conflict of interest that could undermine the anticorruption efforts of the Obama Administration. Led at the time by joe biden. American officials also flagged possible criminal acts linking hunter biden with possible ties to human and sex trafficking. The report saying, quote, hunter biden paid nonresident women who were nationals of russia or other Eastern European countries and who appear to be linked to an Eastern European prostitution or Human Trafficking ring. You wouldnt know about this activity from most of the leftwing media reports today. The hill, for example, does not mention or describe the criminal behavior, nor does the New York Times, nor the Washington Post. The wall street journal notes the report of potential criminal activity, but it just does not mention the acts that are claimed. As senators johnson and grassley went ahead with investigation of the bidens, there were a number of major oversights. In fact, documents that came from the Obama Administration, their witnesses, their files. While hunter biden was on the board, a 7 million bribe was paid by ukrainian authorities. State Department Officials told joe biden he had a conflict of interest by continuing to oversee ukraine corruption policy when his sons company was under investigation for corruption. The Treasury Department flagged millions of dollars of foreign money flowing into Hunter Bidens accounts from people like not just burisma, the corrupt ukrainian gas company, but how about a Russian Oligarch who gave him 3. 5 million on one day . Chinese officials tied to the communist party and the Chinese Military. The Treasury Department flagged this, and you just mentioned the sex trafficking. Those were outbound transactions. So foreign money comes in and then money flows back out of Hunter Bidens account according to the report to russian and ukrainian women who appear dog connected to some form of sex trafficking, Human Trafficking. If this were any other figure in American History tied to a Vice President , president ial nominee or a president , we would have a scandal. But the New York Times and Washington Post have covered this up. They had no problem covering neil bushs sill rad doe crime, yet they dont think theres anything wrong with hunter biden. You know, its an amazing thing to watch. I had an experience this morning, lou, that just struck me. I was driving in to work, and i drove by a dmv in virginia, and there were cones in the road, and they were directing people to come in, register to vote and drop their ballot off. They literally were directing the traffic into the lot like it was some sort of blue light special at kmart. These sort of activities that are going on are potentially rife with fraud. Weve never practiced voting this way before, and i think what the real warning signs that report brought us today is these issues are going to end up in the courts before election day. Theres going to be a Supreme Court case whether its about pennsylvania, wisconsin, virginia, wherever they decide to go. These issues have to be decides before votes are cast and counted on election day, and i think were headed on that collision course. The council overrode radical dem major i didnt Jenny Durkans vf proposed cuts to the citys Police Budget which means those cuts will force seattles First Black Police chief to retire earlier this month, and it will remove as many as 100 Police Officers from the department and limit police staff pay to 150,000. That, by the way, or is the very same amount that the city is paying its new socalled street czar, former pimp andre taylor. Seattle is a city in the grown up of a psychosis. We just cant find the right name for it yet. Well, to help us in that regard, joining us tonight is bob woodson, former civil rights activist. He headed the National UrbanLeague Department of criminal justice for five years. Hes the founder of the Woodson Center which helps residents in low income neighborhoods, and he is a Great American. I want to start with what we are looking at tonight in louisville. And that is a mob that apparently thinks that its demands should be met by a grand jury come hell or high water and no matter the facts. Your thoughts about a city like louisville having to meet those demands or face riots instead of understand the course of justice and pursue the right thing, the american way. Your thoughts. Well, its clear to everybody that black lives matter and their socalled pursuit of justice for blacks is really morphed into a criminal organization. And they are reaping, they are justifying destruction, even death. And every time that i hear about Kamala Harris and someone talking about defund the police or reimagine policing, they need to come we me down into ward 7 and 8 where all the where i spent the day with a group called mamas safe haven. These are mothers who have lost children, 300 of them have come together into an organization to give aid and comfort to one another. And they are saying to me and to the public we want a voice to speak for ourselves. Kamala harris does not speak. And they are saying that the more you withdraw police, the more murders that occur in these communities. There is a simple correlation that less police, more crime. More deaths. Its so bad, lou, that in chicago one of the Community Leaders has now raising money to buy bulletproof backpacks and bulletproof baseball caps for kids, and they had a press conference where they were showing the children when they hare gunshot hear gunshots to drop to their knees and put their backpack up. And hes trying to raise 4,000 because he says the city is not protecting them. There were 700 murders of blacks in chicago. Now, theyre not getting those backpacks to protect themselves from being shot by the police, but Kamala Harris, michelle obama, lebron james, they keep promulgating this lie that black men have more to fear from being shot by the police than they do other black men. There have been 14 or 15 unarmed blacks shot by Police Officers for every one of them, there were 270 shot by other blacks. And so solutions have to come not from vilifying the police. In fact, what is happening is that theyre retiring in record numbers in minneapolis, minnesota, recently where they voted to they overrode the mayors decision to defund the police. There was a shooting two days ago. It took 35 minutes before a Police Officer responded. And guess what . Those shootings are not occurring in neighborhoods where Kamala Harris or lebron james live ares, because they can afford to hire private security. So the most vulnerable people, low income blacks and brown people who are compelled to look to the state for their protection, and they should.
