Hurting jobs by letting street rioting and looting go off the rails. That includes slamming minority Business Owners, their families and workers now think by this chaos. As if things were not complicated enough stores just getting ready to reopen from covid19 shutdowns now dealing with smashed windows and looting and arson. Were also bringing on former california gubernatorial candidate john cox, on the growing push by a dozen cities to Defund Police departments. Joe biden opposes that. Also this debate, the covid19 protest politicians asked Police Officers to enforce them. Now theyre moving to defund them. Also with us tonight, top rnc official Harmeet Dylan on the vote this week by Senate Judiciary to subpoena at least 53 Obama Administration officials in the probe of the botched trump russia and lieutenantgeneral flynn probes. Also well talk about the republicans now preparing potentially nearly 20 criminal referrals. Also media reporter joe concha on the democrats in the media silence and all of that and abuses in those probes. Also with us tonight, we have a top congressman, republicans new plan to unveil potentially this week the largest package in history of sanctions against iran as an important arms embargo against iran is about to expire this fall. Kelsey bolar why a New York Times oped by republican senator tom cotton caused an internal firestorm at the paper but New York Times staffers barely set a word over past times Opinion Pieces from american enemies and adversaries from Vladmir Putin to Nicolas Maduro to the taliban. Thanks for joining us. Im elizabeth macdonald. The evening edit joins us right now. Elizabeth welcome to the show. Youre watching the fox business network. President trump today finishing a roundtable with Law Enforcement officers as top Congressional Democrats held a press conference to unveil federal Police Reform legislation and for. Democrat candidate joe biden says he does not support Defunding Police budgets. Hillary vaughn with more. Hillary. Reporter liz, mayors around america are weighing a decision to slash funding for their own citys Police Department, president making it clear he does not support defunding or disbanding any Police Departments around the country. There wont be defunding. There wont be dismantling of our police and, theyre not going to be any disbanding of our police. Our police have been letting us live in peace. We want to make sure we dont have any bad actors in there and sometimes you will see some horrible things like we witnessed recently, but 99, i say 99. 9 but lets go with 99 of them are great, great people. Reporter attorney general bill barr told fox news that it is dangerous to demonize the police and holding every Police Department accountable for actions of a few officers is wrong. There is friction between what democrats in d. C. Want and what some of their constituents want from their local leaders. The mayor of minneapolis was booed out of a protest this weekend after he rejected his City Councils unanimous vote to defund their Police Department. Today house and Senate Democratic lawmakers didnt support deunder defunding the police but didnt denounce it leader. Democrat leaders warned members on the Conference Call to not get into debate over defunding the police saying there could be Major Political consequences for their party in november. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tiptoed around the topic today, saying they could look at reprioritizing federal money. Many take pride in their work and, we want to be able to make sure that the focus is on them. We can rebalance some of our funding to address some of those issues more directly but this isnt about that. Reporter democratic lawmakers instead want to focus on reforms detailed in a bill that would impact every Police Department in the country, making it mandatory for police to wear and use their body cameras, banning the use of chokeholds, making federal funding for Law Enforcement contingent on mandatory training for officers on racial bias. The bill would create a federal registry for all Law Enforcement detailing, tracking any misconduct and complaints and disciplinary records. They will hear from George Floyds brother on Police Violence theyre holding on wednesday. Tensions are cooling between protesters and police around the country. Major cities like new york, philadelphia and chicago have all ditched their curfews and the president decided to send outofstate National Guard that have been staying here in d. C. Back home to their home states. Liz . Elizabeth hillary vaughn, thank you so much. Lets take you to minneapolis. The city council there did pass a vetoproof vote to defund the citys Police Department. A dozen cities talking about doing that too. Los angeles, new york, baltimore, boston, chicago, denver, philadelphia. This as more than 500 Law Enforcement officers were injured, many hospitalized in the rioting. Also 18 people now dead including eight africanamericans. Thousands of Small Businesses destroyed just as america was trying to get back to work from the covid19 shutdown. Lets welcome john cox, former California Republican gubernatorial candidate. John great to have you back on. Good to see you my friend. Great to be with you, liz, appreciate it. Elizabeth john, your reaction to this Minneapolis City Council president and officials there, theyre saying theyre not going to totally wipe out the budget for Public Safety but your reaction to the City Council President , she was asked by cnn, what if the middle of the night my home is broken into, who do i call . She replied i know that comes from a place of privilege. Calling for help when youre hit with a crime is now a place of privilege . Its ridiculous, liz and if incredible overreaction on the top of the overreaction we had with the pandemic. Well now overreact because after few bad apples. Plim nating the entire Police Department is like eliminating the legislature because one politician or a couple of politicians are corrupt. Even though that might help us a little bit here in california it is an incredible overreaction and let me tell you, liz, it hurts neighborhoods are really suffering in this whole thing, minority neighborhoods where crime is the highest, where the threat is the highest. Im from chicago. Last weekend, weekend before there were 10 killings of young black men in, on the streets of chicago. Its, its criminal the way that a lot of these Police Department are the protected by Police Unions. If were going to do something, lets do something about the way the Police Unions are protecting the bad apples that are doing a lot of this abuse and a lot of the payouts. Los angeles alone, liz, has paid out over 500 million in Police Brutality actions over the last number of years. Thats real taxpayer money. A lot of is as a result that the Police Unions protecting the bad apples. Elizabeth there is not a question that george floyd should not have been murdered. There are child rape, assaults on seniors, assaults on women, a lot of people say walking in the shoes of a cop. Nearly a third of them are minorities. John, now were freeing 50,000 prisoners due to covid19 out of prisons, folks are asking do you want fewer cops on the beat . Critics would agree with you. It is minority and poor i immigrant communities already suffering who get slammed hard by crime. Yes, you want Police Reform. Ban chokeholds. Were seeing that happen in sacramento and pasadena. Dont do chokeholds. Dont defund the cops. Theyre called on way more than people realize. You know what they have to do . Move Homeless People in shelters. Move drug addicts off the streets into hospital. Domestic abuse. Deal with rapes of children and women . You will stop that . How do you square defunding cops with politicians not doing enough stopping rioting and looting after politicians sent cops to arrest citizens defying the covid19 shut down orders, how do you square that, john . I dont square it. Being a policeman is very tough job and very important to the community to keep it safe. Out here in california, theyre getting rid of bail. Theyre letting people out of prisons. Well have a crime wave. Politicians will be held accountable for actions they take, not only getting defunding but sending a message that the police are not respected and police shouldnt be respected when only a few bad apples are doing this kind of thing. Elizabeth lets stay on this for a second. We know los angeles, new york city, were seeing digs minute nary from atlanta, fort lauderdale, to lou will, kentucky, buffalo. Of course the got bad apples out of there. Dont murder people on your watch. That is unacceptable. You know who is getting hit, john . Fire departments in new york city. Trucks are getting assaulted. Democratic leader of congressional black caucus, saying dont defund the police budgets. Watch republican trey gowdy and Business Leader herman cain on this take a listen. I i dont believe you should disband Police Departments but i do think in cities, in states, we need to look at how we are spending the resources and invest more in our communities. Defunding the police is the single dumbest idea i ever heard. Who will process crime scenes, arrest bad people . Who is going to enforce any law, child sex abuse, homicide . Who is going to do it if it is not the police . Who are they going to call when they get in trouble . For minneapolis say that we want to defund and remake and put in a new model, whats the model . They dont have one. What needs to be done is they need to go back and review the training procedures already in place, the guidelines already in place. Let policemen be policemen and police women. Not the city council now to micromanage how Law Enforcement works. I will make a prediction which i dont normally do. That is, those cities that do not back up their Law Enforcement are going to be the ones that will be hurt the most and the slowest to come back economically. Elizabeth you know, john, where are the faith leaders on this . How about cops across the country who take taxpayer, wait, wait, take a city councilman and take a congressman to work day, so you have to see what cops have to put up with . See what new york city and Fire Departments across the count very to put up with . How about educating American People for what these men around and women what they put up with. Take a tax payer to work today, take a cop to work today, how about trying that . That is great idea. Do other things to address the inequality and problems protesters are talking about, liz. Lets get better education of people. Lets get school vouchers. Lets give every parent the ability to send their kid to a good school, instead of ridiculous ideas to Defund Police and wreak havoc on communities, lets do is being about the inequality and inability of people to earn a living support themselves, better education for these parents. Elizabeth okay. Yeah. You know, reform the system. Dont throw everything out. Yes. Elizabeth reform it, fix it. John, youre terrific, come back soon. Come back. Love having you on. Thank you. Elizabeth coming up later in the show, we got former new york city mayor Rudy Giuliani on our nations leaders now getting blasted by critics including hbos bill maher for hurting the economy and jobs by letting street rioting and looting go off the rails. That and for the attacks on minorityowned businesses, families and their workers. Weve got that story coming up. Stay right there. So, when you get a check. You can deposit it from here. Knowing that she saw this thing happening and was brave enough to get involved and do something that was eye opening. Find an honor your ancestors who served in world war ii. Their stories live on at ancestry. Elizabeth welcome back. We turn now to the vote this week at the republicanled Senate Judiciary on issuing subpoenas to 53 former Obama Administration officials as well as others in the probe of a botched and complicated and corrupt trump russia probe. That is what critics are calling it. The problematic fbi probe of lieutenantgeneral Michael Flynn and unmasking of trump team aides. Here is senator lindsey graham. Watch this. I was pretty stunned. Rosenstein said i signed the warrant but i did not know anything about the underlying documentation being altered and i did not know that the central document to get the warrant, the steele dossier had been disavowed in january because if anybody sign this is warrant application knowing that the russian subsource disavowed the reliability of the steele dossier and that the department of state lawyer altered email, they knew that they would be going to jail themselves. I will call mccabe. I find it hard to believe that mccabe and comey did not know that the russian subsource told the fbi in january, oh, by the way, the documents youre using to get a warrant against carter page, the steele dossier, is a bunch of hearsay, bar talk and garbage. That is why they eventually will be called before the committee. Elizabeth lets welcome rnc Committee Woman for california, harmeet dhillon. Glad to have you back. You heard what senator graham just said, do you think the upper echelon, the csuite, james comey and mccabe knew there was no there there and kept it going, the trump russia probe and the probe into general Michael Flynn . This seems obvious to me and observers on the situation. The only other republicans and i have for senator graham, what took you so long . He has been chairman of Senate Judiciary. Im glad the issues are targeted and coming to light. It is overdue. The president has labored under these totally faked up clouds for 3 1 2 years now. So i think it is time to get to the bottom of it. Not just because of what happened in the past but to prevent this from ever happening in the future where our Law Enforcement and our security, National Security apparatus is weaponized for political reasons. Elizabeth and so, it was democrats who helped fund the Christopher Steele dossier. The fbi used that Opposition Research to launch the trump russia probe. Senator graham said yesterday he denied access to interview an fbi case agent and fbi Intelligence Analyst who met and interviewed steeles source in january 2017 saying you know what, there is no there there. Still theyre stonewalling. Still the media is not covering things like the Rod Rosenstein, second most powerful guy at the justice department, media did not give any coverage of that last week. Your reaction . That is also predictable. I think Rod Rosensteins role in this whole thing will go down as a very bad one. Dont forget he is the one who also picked mueller to lead the sham investigation which turned up no evidence of collusion and it was his job in this particularly unusual fisa situation to closely examine a warrant that was being reauthorized after several months from the original authorization. So he totally failed. There is a lot of questions to be asked but mainly the questions are to be asked as senator graham is focusing on Obama Administration end stage officials who really orchestrated this back in 2016. So i think that until we get to the end of this. Until we let somebody actually subpoena people, dont forget that the inspector general, michael horowitz, did not have subpoena power. He only had what the fbi wanted to give him. And so this will be the first time that people are subpoenaed. And every question should be asked and we should all, republican or democrat, make sure we know hot people are, who are violating their vows because i dont want this to happen to a legitimately elected democrat president either. It is not fair, it is not right, it is not american. Elizabeth interesting. Yeah, you know what . Devin nunes told us last week it sounds like they are preparing nearly 20, 20 criminal referrals, House Republicans are preparing nearly 20. Final word, harmeet . Great. And probably there should be more. Number of people involved in the conspiracy is vast. We do not know the extent of it yet. Elizabeth okay. Got to go. Harmeet, thank you so much. Well have more after the break. Stay right there. My name is trisha. Im 70 and i live in mill valley, california. My biggest passion is gardening. I love to be outdoors. Just ask what can i say to find more of what you love with the xinity voice remote. Elizabeth okay. We got breaking news. Sources are telling the evening edit that Congressional Republicans will potentially unveil this week the largest package of sanctions against iran in history. It is an unprecedented plan that aims to cripple irans global terrorism enterprise and bankrupt the cashstrapped dictatorship. Welcome republican congressman from florida, greg stuebe. He is on house judiciary and the republican study committee. Great to have you on, sir. Your caucus is releasing the proposal this week . Can you tell us more about it . Supposed to be released tomorrow and will detail new sanctions and more Foreign Policy international approach to russia, china and iran, that the republicans believed we should be doing as a country from congress and type of policies that we should be promoting as a congress to come in in foreign affairs. Elizabeth why now . Why is this being released now . Is there something to do with a arms embargo about to expire on iran in october . There is an iran embargo will expire in october, which honestly we dont believe china and russia should be able to provide arms to the iranian government. That is something that precipitated this, while other news Media Outlets have been focused on other things happening domestically, there are a lot of things going on internationally that we as Congress Need to be focused on. Im happy that our president , President Trump is focusing on this. Time for congress to act on these very important issues. Elizabeth tell us whats happening because it looks like it got 140 initiatives, maybe sanctions against irans Supreme Leader and petrochemical and financial industry and automotive empire. Tell us what is going on as we focus on covid19 and the protests. Can you fill us in . There is a lot of details. The full proposal is being released tomorrow so i cant too specific about it but as far as iran is concerned. Lou iran just signed an 800 milliondollar contract with iraq to provide them energy. Those are the type of things league around the sanction waivers. We believe the sanction waivers should be withdrawn and they shouldnt be able to occur. Iran shouldnt be able to get 800 million in a contract for iraq. Things like lebanon, we should not be giving money, almost two billion dollars american taxpayer dollars has given to lebanon going to support hezbollah and other terrorist organizations. I dont believe, i can guarranty the 17th district of florida doesnt believe, tax dollars, two billion of it to go to Lebanese Army and hezbollah and their terrorist activities across the globe. Elizabeth what will be the biggest hit, the most controversial piece of this . Can you talk about it . That will be a big controversial piece, making sure lebanon doesnt get any funding. That is something eight months ago the state department had a different view on, but i think now more information has come to light as it relates to the iranians and to lebanon and we shouldnt be putting our tax dollars to them. I sent a letter to secretary pompeo in april, asking for this to be reviewed and i think more information has come to light. That would be a big boon for attack hezbollah, insuring they dont use taxpayer dollars to create terror across the globe. Elizabeth congressman stuebe, thanks very much for joining us. We appreciate it. Come back soon, sir. Thanks for having me. Elizabeth next up, were bringing on the hill media reporter joe con that on a growing debate. Why do the Major Networks barely cover on air the Senate Judiciary hearing where the second most powerful guy at the justice department, former Deputy Attorney general Rod Rosenstein admitted there is no there there in the russia probe and he would not have signed fbi wiretaps, would not have approved them what he knows now, how badly the fbi misled and deceived the fisa court. That growing debate next. vo at audi, we design cars that exhilarate with versatility, whether on the track, or the everyday drive. Today, that philosophy extends to how we connect with you. We call it, audi at your door. Whether a remote test drive, shopping, tradein, or even service pickup, audi at your door can do this and more at participating dealers. The premium audi dealership experience, on your terms. Audi at your door. Elizabeth welcome back. Now to this growing criticism. All of the Major Networks avoided onair coverage, they didnt cover the Senate Judiciary hearing of former Deputy Attorney general Rod Rosenstein. He testified that there was no there there in the fbis controversy investigation into the trump russia probe and Rod Rosenstein said he would not have signed the fbi fisa application to do wiretapping and surveillance given what he knows now about how the fbi misled and deceived the fisa court. Lets welcome the hill media reporter, joe concha. Great to have you back on, joe. Whats your take on this . Boy, i got a lot of takes on this. Sit back enjoy, get some popcorn. Rod rosenstein said he wouldnt go ahead with what he knows now. He didnt even know at the time, liz, that the dossier was funded by the Democratic National committee. How do you not know that . They literally hired Christopher Steele to get information from russia of all places to take down a president ial candidate. So this was a huge story. Ted cruz said it was probably bigger than watergate. You could make the argument that was the case. I get the protests are a big story, no question and coronavirus obviously. That has taken a big back seat but as you said, none of the broadcast networks covered it. When it was covered by places like npr, it sounded like this, anchor, may i start with an observation. Doesnt it seem out of left field with everything going on in the country right now, senators are focused today on the Russian Investigation . In other words lets not look into something that took up 2 1 2 years of the countrys time, blotted out the Trump Presidency like an eclipse blots out the sun and we shouldnt try to figure out what happened . Reporters are supposed to be curious and supposed to pursue the story even after the fact. Instead the allegation gets all the coverage. Exoneration, a fraction of it, liz. Elizabeth so its okay, everyone is okay, every one in the media is okay with the dnc and the Hillary Clinton campaign helping to fund Opposition Research pooled together by Christopher Steele, Christopher Steeles own sources disavowed it, said it was speculation and hearsay, it had russian disinformation in it and it from Rod Rosenstein, the second most powerful official at the just it is department was not picked up by cnn, msnbc, it went from late morning to early afternoon. None of the three broadcast networks, abc, nbc, cbs, did not air it. Maybe some of them live streamed it on their websites. So everybody is okay with the basically the politicization of the Intelligence Community to go after a political opponent . And liz, put it in context for a moment. When the russia investigation was going on, even before the Mueller Investigation started, Media Research center compiles number of minutes the evening newscast, remember evening newscast is only 22 minutes, hard to get to this number, more than 2200 minutes, 2017 to 2019 on russia and collusion and the investigation. If you added in two Cable News Networks that dont begin with fox you just mentioned, probably getting up into the hundreds of thousands of minutes. All that time for that, and then when were following up as to how this happened, why this happened, no coverage whatsoever. There is no accountability either, liz. Think about this for a moment. Former fbi director james comey, media darling, becomes a bestselling author, Andrew Mccabe literally lied to the fbi about leaking to the press, where is he now . Somewhere ostracized . Oh, no, he was hired as cnn National Security analyst. Lisa page, all those texts that we saw where im sure she didnt want candidate trump to p. M. President trump, where is she . She was hired by msnbc last week. I half expected her to read the story, peter strzok is next host of family feud next week. Everybody did all the wrong things are getting rewarded with jobs in television. That is what staterun media looks like, liz. Elizabeth all right. Are you going to write a column about this, joe . Youre fired up. Maybe glad to have you on. Well read about it. Are you writing about it . Im passionate about it. Forget that recipe on line, im going with this, thank you. Good to see you. Elizabeth all right. Good to see you, joe. Come back soon. Okay, still ahead the editor of the New York Times editorial page has resigned after times staffers objected to the New York Times publishing an opinion piece by republican senator tom cotton he is saying just like lbj, jfk, george h. The editor of the New York Times editorial page, his name is james bennet, he has resigned after New York Times staffers objected to the Times Publishing an opinion piece from republican senator tom cotton on using the military to back up police, to stop rioting, arson, looting and destruction of businesses across the country. Also now this, we have number of people dead. 18 people dead, eight of them africanamericans in rioting. Lets welcome kelly bolar of the independent womens forum. Your reaction to this . The criticism comes after New York Times ran previous Opinion Pieces from american adversaries including Vladmir Putin, nicholas Nicolas Maduro and the taliban. New york times staffers didnt complain about that. You are absolutely right to point that out, this is mob rule at the New York Times. Apparently, those opeds from terrorists and dictatorships are not too much for these New York Times journalists to handle but but an oped defending United States law from a United States senator, that 5 8 of american 58 of the American Population holds the same opinion that he expressed in that column, according to a Morning Consult poll, that is apparently what is putting New York Times over the edge and causing this whole debacle. It is really another example of the left saying, the quiet things out loud. We all have known about the media bias for years. Now were seeing it plate out with our own eyes. Elizabeth you know the New York Times also ran an opinion piece by the leader of turkey, the strong man dictator there, erdogan. He is the second worst in the world, his regime is the second worst in the world for locking up journalist. The times ran an opinion piece by him. Lets listen to senator tom cotton now demanding the New York Times destrack a quote smear that he says is false and offensive, he did not call for the military to stop protesters. He called for military to stop rioting, looting, stop killing people. Watch this. I said simply last monday if the local police are overwhelmed by the numbers of these insurrectionists if they need support from the National Guard, or if necessary as a last resort federal troops under the insurrection act that is exactly what has to happened. Fortunately that is what happened in most places over the course of last week. We saw yesterday people exercising their First Amendment rights to demonstrate and protest. Meantime we published that exact argument in the New York Times. The New York TimesEditorial Page Editor and owner defended it in public statements but then, they totally surrendered to awoke child mob from their own newsroom that apparently gets triggered if theyre presented with any opinion contrary to their own a opposed to telling the woke children in their newsroom, this is the work place, not a social justice seminar on campus. Elizabeth you know, kelsey, heres the thing, lbj, jfk, also george h. W. Bush, when there, people were getting killed in rioting under their administrations they did call in the troops. So now we have New York Times staff writer Nicole Hanna Jones on cnn yesterday saying we do absolutely believe his views should be aired. It is a different thing all together than simply letting someone say things that are not true to make assertions that might be unconstitutional. She didnt stipulate what was not true and what was unconstitutional. They ran it and they fact checked it. They didnt have a problem. He said it was supported. Now were hearing that the times put the headline on it. Your reaction to that . Well, i do think the New York Times is taking him out of context. He was arguing only to use the military as very last resort and that is how a lot of americans feel about it. Nobody wants to see elizabeth not against protesters. Wait. He didnt, he didnt say use them, he didnt say them use them against protesters. He didnt say that he said to back up police during looting and the arson. Go ahead. Right. That is what is so frustrated, conservatives including myself have been very careful, not to, to differentiate between the Peaceful Protesters and rioters and tom cotton tried to do the same in this oped. And what we see are liberal news organizations trying to conflate the two to make conservatives look bad. You really shouldnt have to agree with tom cottons oped to see the problem here, to see how dishonest this is. Honestly, dangerous for the whole institution of journalism. Elizabeth kelsey, thank you so much for coming on. Come back soon. We love having you on. Thank you. Elizabeth next up, former new york city mayor Rudy Giuliani on our nations leaders, state and city and local, now getting blasted by critics including hbos bill maher for letting the street rioting and looting go off the rails. 18 people now dead. 500 cops assaulted. Minority Business Owners by the thousands that seeing their businesses destroyed, their families hurt and their workers too. As if things were not complicated enough, stores, just getting ready to reopen from covid19 shutdowns are now dealing with smashed windows, smashed businesses and arson and looting. The story with mayor giuliani next. In my line of work, i come face to face with a lot of behinds. So i know theres a big need for gasx maximum strength. It works fast. Relieving pressure, bloating, and discomfort before you know it. So no one needs to know youve got gas. Gasx. Elizabeth our nations state and local city leaders now getting blasted by critics including hbos bill maher for slamming the economy and jobs by allowing street rioting and looting to go oaf the rails. That includes hurting and smashing minorityowned businesses, their families and workers by allowing this chaos. If things were not complicated enough stores trying to reopen now, from covid19 lockdowns, they are now dealing with smashed windows and businesses, arson and looting as the lockdowns ease up. Talking about stores in downtown districts across the country. They had to board up in anticipation of rioting and looting. Look who is here. We welcome to the show, former new york city mayor Rudy Giuliani. Mayor, great to have you on. Of. Great to see you. Thank you very much. Well, i would say the reality is that in many cities, i would say as many as 40, 45 cities, the city leadership failed the people and they failed the people because they were unwilling to use the police to stop the riots at the earliest possible moment and they never bothered to read the report which was written way back in 1993 about how a riot went wrong in new york. Sort of the bible how you stop a riot. It is simple. You arrest the first person who breaks the law. Peaceful protests, they can do everything they want. They throw a rock they get arrested. They break a window, they get arrested. They burn a car, they get arrested. If you arrest them early, you are going to stop it. You never fail. I took over a city, had two major riots three years before i came in. They were i had eight years of no riots even though i had some pretty controversial Police Brutality cases, we werent going to have riots. They waited too long. If you noticed video, right, the Police Officers are there observing the crime. Thats absurd. Police officers watching these people throw bricks at them, throw molotov cocktails at them. In my city, the mayor failed to use, policemen on horseback, that could have been used to kick out people throwing molotov cocktails, kick out people throwing the bricks, take them out of the crowd right away. It took the governor really humiliating him to finally call the police to do their job. They got it done in about five hours. The mayor in minneapolis i think set the tone by allowing the mob to take over and burn down the police precinct. You dont give up a police precinct. You just dont. Elizabeth so, mayor, bill maher on hbo said when you coop people up with no hope, no jobs they will go out on the streets of the he said i wonder what america will look like, what do Police Departments look like if they have to fight this all the time . He is calling this a reckless experiment of closing down a entire country months at a time. He says this will not look good in the future. Americans out there, they were dealing with the covid19 shutdowns. They were getting in trouble and getting, seeing licenses revoked if they tried to reopen their businesses. Then theyre seeing this looting and arson, rioting going on. We had democrats like nancy pelosi saying we need to have mailin ballots because of covid19, right . Now they just allowed rioting and looting go on from coast to coast. Were seeing thousands of Small Businesses slammed right now. Americans are really frustrated mayor. Your reaction to that. Hypocrisy is almost impossible to describe. Within one day it all switched. Anybody within six feet, they were actually arresting them. Then all of sudden, 5000 people are holding hands, half of them with masks on, half not. We have idiots go on television say thats okay. Maybe its okay from the point of view of protesting but it is not, you dont get immunity from covid19 because youre in a peaceful protest or a riot. So there is something wrong here and, i again, i hate to emphasize it but were talking about almost exclusively the democratic mayors and governors who were holding on to the shutdown much longer than anybody else. Elizabeth so heres the other thing, too. Were looking at the recent jobs report. Africanamericans are now seeing and local workers their jobless rate is now around 16. 8 a year ago the black Unemployment Rate of near record low of 6. 2 . There is major frustration out there. There is that story. The labor market has begun to heal. We know that story is going on. I want your reaction to the push in a dozen cities to Defund Police departments. What was your reaction when you heard this story breaking out . I thought i heard every insane thing the democrats could do. Now making war on the police after we just had massive riots all over the country, were going to cut the police . We have major crime in minneapolis. I mean the real problem here is the underlying crime. Police brutality is a small number of incidents. Black on black crime are large number of incidents. I mean six, 7,000 a year blacks killing other blacks. Only nine incidents last year of Police Officers shooting unarmed men. So the big difference between nine and 6,000, were focusing on all this attention on nine but not focusing other attention 6,000 loss of black lives but their lives dont matter. Their lives dont matter because they didnt get killed by police. Nor does the lives of captain dorn matter who is africanamerican and was killed because he was trying to secure a store for his friend. They shot him in the head and killed him. But his life doesnt matter. Matters to me. Elizabeth yeah, go ahead. Finish. Nope. What im saying it matters to me because its a human life but this is why i think people are so upset with black lives matter. It is really black lives taken by the police matter. All other black lives elizabeth that, but that isnt, mr. Mayor, understood, but that, cops doing that to george floyd, that is unacceptable and it is a disgrace as well. That needs to stop, right, mayor . Absolutely. 100 . I think the Police Officers, or main one should be indicted for firstdegree murder. That is probably my prosecutors background. I always like to go for the top count. There is no excuse for what happened. It has to stop but if you think that is going to really help, the africanamerican community, we will still have 99 of the murders in the africanamerican community, if we cure Police Brutality. Elizabeth mayor giuliani come back soon, we love having you on the show. Lou good evening, everybody or. These are becoming the strangest days in america. And while we can describe them, they are not easily understood by any of us and difficult to keep in perspective for all of us. But we will try here this evening, and with us tonight to help in the effort, tom fitton, congressman matt gaetz, ed rollins and Michael Goodwin and the niece of reverend Martin Luther king, alveda king. Over these past two weeks, thousands of demonstrations have taken other r over some of our largest cities as hundreds of thousands of people in most of those cities marched to
