Theres a serious risk that by november when americans cast their ballots we actually could be in a recession. Our job market may be strong now, but the question is can it hold. The hysteria and it is hysteria surrounding coronavirus is actually the biggest danger to our economy right now. Not because its as scary are as the media makes it. In fact, just to keep everything in perspective, did you know the common flu this season has already killed an estimated 18,000 people right here in the United States alone . 18,000 compared with, well, significantly less depths, shall we say deaths, shall we say, for coronavirus. But because the fear itself could paralyze the economy, im hearing several major wall street banks are having at least the half their workers work from home, businesses everywhere are creating contingency plans, all this while Big Tech Companies including twitter, amazon, microsoft, google are telling employees in some locations work from home. People are canceling vacations even domestically, and travel is being restricted by most companies. This is going to have an economic impact, okay . And of course of the danger in these things, as always, they get a little out of control. You know, it turns from a recession and some fear in the market into a fullblown credit crisis. Some sources telling me right now they are worried about lehman 2. 0. As such, you know what . Its prudent for the president to devote the resources hes devoting with 8. 3 billion, so congrats to the president on that one. He should tackle it all straight on. The white house now considering a tax relief percentage for the travel industry package for the travel industry. That would be good as well. Were worried about certain sectors of the economy. Airlines coming to mind, but i dont want to get too deep on that, that might need some help. Were looking for targeted measures that will do the most good in a short period of time. Trish simultaneously, the media needs to be fair. Imagine that. And the left needs to be fair. They should not be using the coronavirus as a political opportunity. This is serious stuff.
