While were papering the deal, that is going well and we hope to sign it in chile when we have a summit in chile. Or wherever that may be. But we will be able to sign a completed document with china and then start working on phase two. Things in phase two are easier than phase one. Reporter there are still questions about whether phase one will be agreed upon before the apex, and chile next month. Lighthizer said there are still outstanding issues while the secretary told maria that the midnovember target date might not be as big of a deal. There are still some issues we have to resolve. Were working towards that goal. From mike point of deal, it doesnt have to be the correct deal in towards november and more big of a deal for the proper deal. This is the first time we heard from President Trump on camera since he announced the g7 meeting will be held to his property in the Miami Florida area and cancel that decision over the weekend. The Text Messages possibly revealing that a top pilot was worried or had safety concerns about the 737 max jet before the fatal crashes, that could be detrimental in more scrutiny about how employees were responding to survey questions about safety and how they felt before this all happened in regulators will dig into that. Meantime i want to bring your attention to headlines that are coming out after the close about wework as well. That was the highly anticipated one that was shelled. According to dow jones, it is going to week and turn me on tuesday to waive rescue Funding Options and saying that softbank is offering to put six and half billion dollars into wework thats including a 5 million loan and interim chairman would be marcello and softbank would step up to that rule and also j. P. Morgan is working to assemble loan package options ahead of the deadline as well. A lot to think about when it comes to wework and how management could shuffle things to make that more attractive to investors. That is a story. So is boeing. Lets go back to boeing talking about the story of the day especially with the dow here to break down what is happening with boeing lets bring in judge and fox news analyst on fox nation. You have seen the stories and know the news but its a messages that came out that the damning piece of evidence against boeing from a legal and lofts boot perspective. Thats being followed left and right by victims. What do you expect . This is a solder for the plaintiff firepower to say the least. Theyre going to find out whether or not this was followed up on. It does not appear that it was and whether or not the person who made the statement is technically qualified to express this misgiving. It appears he was. And what happened in the state, why did they not do anything about it. Human engineer say this is not safe and where did that statement go, who is supposed to respond to it. This is an entire new phase for boeings woes. Just to be clear, it was a top boeing pilot back in 2016 now flies for Southwest Airlines basically said he unknowingly lied to faa regulators and also said he told the faa remove the mcas system which was responsible for both of the crashes. We will get another report on wednesday. As well as a failure on the faa part and not to leave them out of the blame game. There are three aspects, did boeing hide this, too, did the faa hide it, three, what if anything did the faa do about it. As i said this is opening up an entirely new doors for a chairman of the board who is no longer chairman he is now the ceo and what happened on his watch. A lot of blockbuster news happening today. Stay with us for the next story. Lets tell you about the story, a fox business alert they have a deal that for Drug Companies agreed 268 million settlement with two ohio counties. This avoids a trial in cleveland on the role on the Opioid Crisis. Grady live with the latest. Reporter the pharmaceutical is one of the companies that reached a deal here today. But the company reached an even bigger settlement with several states worth 23 billion. Here in ohio a landmark federal trial was set to begin but the drugmaker settled at the last minute with the big three drug distributors, cardinal health, amerisourcebergen, all of those chose fueling the opioid epidemic. They have agreed to a 260 million settlement and were told a large portion will be paid out to two ohio counties almost immediately to help with Addiction Treatment and education. We have problems now, people are suffering and dying now. We have to deal with these issues now. So the fact we were able to get the money in a short timeframe is very helpful. That is one of the motivations for settling this. Walgreens was also a defendant in the ohio case. It was not part of todays settlement and could still go to trial with other major pharmacy chains like cvs and walmart. They said walgreens never factored prescription opioid medications, marketed or promoted opioid medication, we never prescribed opioid medication. A federal judge overseeing around 2600 remaining cases is pushing for a large Group Settlement as opposed to all of them going to trial or settling separately although those discussions have been unsuccessful. Back to you and the judge. Lets bring the judge and to react. A massive settlement took a lot of folks by surprise. The negotiations to happen between 11 00 p. M. And 1 00 a. M. Today. Are they making the right decision and settling . I cannot make that judgment because its a financial determination paid the 200 million they agreed to pay 22 ohio counties is a lot more than the damages the ohio counties were able to demonstrate. A lot less than the billions they demanded but also a lot less than what the lawyers for the defendant thought a jury might award these plaintiffs. As grady pointed out, there are three sets of litigations, one brought by the human beings that were actually injured, one brought in the state that spent money to help those human beings. This is the third set brought by two ohio counties. Why two, there with 2300 cases as he pointed out involving cities and counties claiming that they spent money on ems, publicly owned hospitals, police, welfare because of Opioid Crisis is and they want reimbursement. This is the first of the 2300 and well see if they can settle the rest. As insensitive as this will sound, wouldnt the Companies Say this is personal choice, even though they make these drugs and distribute these drugs, some people need these drugs for pain those that took it too far to pay a personal choice. The choices made by the physician. You cannot go to the drugstore and get these things. You need a prescription. Thats a walgreens defense. We just had prescriptions issued by lawfully licensed physicians for a lawful product. That is also the defense of the manufacturers. But the courts have thrown out the defense and said you ought to have known you wouldnt have been able to count bills under pills going to these people and you wouldve known because you learned in this area your self in a making a plaintiff argument. I dont agree but im summarizing. You out of known yourself the harm that this couldve cost and you have to pay for it. Is a fascinating case and far from over. Judge we will see you on fox nation and will see with maria. Boris johnson the Uk Parliament setting up the next stage for bring that but does the Prime Minister have the votes as the clock ticks down. The house of commons has set up a timetable to decide if forced johnson for example in the European Union for the end of the month. Fox business actually live in london with the breaking details. Reporter hello, my usual perch outside of parliament yet again the fate of brexit and lemieux tomorrow lets get to the very latest. The government will unveil and debate on the withdrawal agreement. That will go from tomorrow into wednesday and then they hope to vote on the whole package on thursday which would be a huge step toward getting this done before the october 31 deadline. Earlier today the Prime Minister hoped to have a vote on his eu deal. But House Speaker said no, you cannot do it you already ported on saturday two days ago and you cannot bring the same motion. Today circumstances are in substance the same as saturdays circumstances. My ruling is therefore it will not be debated today and it would be repetitive and disorderly to do so. Reporter repetitive is what it described from day one. Three to half years since the vote was taken and again, we are very uncertain to workers from here. If forced johnson cannot get this thing across the line before the end of this month then there will be another extension and then i suspect this government Boris Johnson will call for an election and that is most definitely the next step if he cannot get this through and the feeling that he could win enough seats in the general election to have a Majority Parliament that can pass legislation to get the uk out of your pain your name. That is the theory. Everything else with present never goes as planned so we will wait and see. But it goes on. I hope you packed an extra set of clothing. [laughter] steve hilton joins us heres the exasperation. In reporting all of this. Im not intrigued a little bit by the speaker in the uk, its become a figure and everybody jokes around screaming order and this and that. But its supposed to be neutral. It seems like he has gotten more political. What is the role the speaker is supposed to be. It is supposed to represent parliament as an institution. The problem with all of this, you are right to point to it, that is been the central explanation for the endless delay in exasperation that you saw with ashley and ive seen myself. There is not a written constitution in the uk, it is not specified in the records to something that says this is how Something Like this is supposed to work. He can make an argument, the speaker can make an argument that says, i speak for parliament, Iran Parliament as an institution, it is a bit like the speaker that we are having here in the impeachment process we have nancy pelosi say were separate form of government and the president cannot tell us what to do. The difference in at least written down the constitution, argument and look at something that specifies, the difference in the uk its all put together and as if the president of the white house and executive branch were speaking in congress and trying to figure it out together and thats the central problem that you dont have defined. So they could say i was in my right in a new way you have not seen before. The privacy of parliament because is not written down that i cannot do that. How do you think, ashley was talking that we might head towards another general election. Or is it some other way this thing gets sorted out . I think that is exactly right. Thats the most likely outcome. One point to that conclusion, to note, everyone should be aware Boris Johnson has actually played this extremely well. If you compare where we are to where teresa mae was, Boris Johnson has achieved two things everyone says was impossible. He got that you to reopen the deal that theresa may have said and he said this is that this is the final deal we are not changing, take it or leave it and johnson went in there and got him to reopen it and they removed a lot of things that they all put to conservative members of parliament. For example under theresa mays deal the uk wouldve been subject to eu regulations years after leaving for the future relationship was being worked out, that is all gone now. And secondly Boris Johnson has persuaded elements within the conservative party to get behind in a way that she never managed to so theres a chance to get across the line and even if he does not he holds the cards because if it goes to general election hes in a very strong position because hes done everything he can to deliver exit and everyone else has tried to frustrated. And hes for the people and everyone else for the establishment trying to undermine the peoples vote. He sets himself up with political options on both sides. While youre here i want to switch back to the United States in the story people have been talking about the democratic a president ial Tulsi Gabbard after Hillary Clinton suggested she was a russian asset. Take a listen. They try to read just remember reputation in my lifetime of service because i stood up to them. But heres the truth, they will not intimidate us, they will not silence us. Yours thoughts on how this is played out . I spoke out about this on my show last night. I was completely sickened by the smear that Hillary Clinton put out there. I know Tulsi Gabbard and i dont agree with her policies but i know that she is a decent american patriot. And to smear her in this way to call her russian agent is despicable. Why is Hillary Clinton doing that, its the same reason she does all the things that she has been spouse enough about over the last couple of years and she cannot get over the fact that in 2016 her ideology was rejected, her character was rejected and her corruption was rejected. She cannot cope with that and shes lashing out in all these ways that were completely unacceptable. Somebody who endorsed Bernie Sanders in 2016 also Tulsi Gabbard i dont know if that hurts hillary or what. Its always good
