The largest federation of unions in america says his workers trade tariffs . Theres 50,000 factories arent feeling the effects of a that have been closed and more strong economy. Than 1 Million People have lost what this could mean for the their jobs because of chinas 2020 election, hi, everybody this is bulls bears thanks for predatory trade policies over joining us im david asman. The last 30 years, so now youre joining me on the panel today, Jonathan Hoenig, christina crying crocodile tears over 250 partsinevelos, John Layfield and steelworkers. I didnt hear you say a word jackie deangeles. About the millions of people that had their lives destroyed before that. Curtis i dont think thats so here is the head of the afl c quite fair. Io telling fox news why i dont think you watch the show unions are not backing trumps enough to know what jonathan has 2020 Reelection Campaign just said so thats not a fair yet, listen. Statement, sir but i do want to ask you furthermore for what our members are still jonathan had said about waiting for the supposed specifically the trade deficit that was something that greatness of this economy to reach their kitchen tables, when President Trump said he would e radicate and some things china they do ill cheer, theyll is doing right now most cheer and they will all support economists say its not a way to the person who helped get us measure trade imbalance and there. David lets bring in trump trade relations but it has Campaign Senior trade and jobs increased and you look at manufacturing activity. It is contracted for two advisor curtis ellis, so i straight quarters which means understand theres a difference manufacturing is in a technical between the Union Leadership and recession. You look at how china has become more integrated we have become the membership, but union more isolated. Why is there a disconnect, sir, members across the country for between what President Trump arent feeling the strength of the economy right now, do you said would happen and what has believe him . No, not really. Actually happening . Its taken us 30 years to get you look at the numbers here, into this mess with china its blue collar wages are increasing going to take more than two faster than managerial wages, quarters to get out of it, its very simple. Record low unemployment, we got the integrated of china i dont historic low unemployment, more see how they are more integrated americans are working than ever, we have supply chains moving out the deregulation, and the tax of china, everybody, rushing to get to the exit and if you read cuts, and the trade reform, the china law blog youll see were seeing more jobs coming why, because its a criminal enterprise over there. Back to america and particularly the government has stacked the deck against foreign companies, trying to boost its own national those jobs in the construction trade, the building trades. Theyre not being, they were champions and no sane businessman would want t make never suffered under mr. Obama, theyre being served under china their sole supplier for anything and finally were President Trump, and these getting a reality check and people are feeling it and by the way i just want to show you i am people are realizing that america is a better mr. Us to do a union member myself. Business than communist china. David oh, there you go. David curtis i agree with my an afl affiliate, the writer colleagues on the trade deficit it is widening instead of s guild of america, kind of the cadillac of unions, but i getting more narrow as the president said it would however am a union member and so was my i disagree with them in terms of father and union people are very Union Members because it is true happy, all working people in that this president received america are very happy. More Union Support from david i dont know about that. Individual Union Members than just any other republican since its jackie here. Ronald regan in the early 1980s. The second part of the statement said that actually president im just wondering, trumka is Trump Administration has done more things to hurt workers. Not a fan of republicans at all. He is a very hardnosed guy and how do you respond to that and also even if that is the perception out there, that is going to be a problem in 2020. He was known to push people well its funny that mr. Tru around when he was working with the coal miners union. This is tough as the president mka is making his comments on the heels of a story would say, is the president actually trying to get his that came out in the wall street support because he did say that journal saying the Democratic Party is making a play for the Union Workers to bring them back the democrats cant take Union Members for granted. To vote democrat because they all voted for President Trump well thats right, and we the last time around. Cant take, he cant take the look, the leadership of the afl republicans cant take president cio and a lot of these trump cant take Union Members unions are whollyowned for granted, and its one thing to get Union Members and its subsidiary of the Democrat National committee. Another thing to get mr. Trumka the rankandfile Union Members, they know that President Trump is their president , their guy, s support. I would be very surprised if the hes fighting for them and just look at what hes doing with china. Aflcio would come out and no other president , no democrat endorse President Trump for no republican, no other election. David but the question is president ever did what President Trump is doing and whether President Trump is actively trying to seek his hes doing exactly what he promised he would do, stand up support. President trump is trying to for the people who have gotten seek the support of voters and ripped off by china, and thats it is the union rankandfile the working people. Membership that will determine wall street made money investing the outcome of this election and in china. The working people of america got the shaft. Wall street got the gold. The leaders but unfortunately, the david and nothing else . Working people are the ones that im trying to get a little are hurting. I think your statement over behind the scenes action here, there just recently saying that theres nothing going on behind everybody is benefiting is false the scenes between president especially when you talk about trump and trumka . Well you saw the tweet today the Agricultural Sector think of it said when they meet in the all of the farmers that may not oval office, Richard Trumka is be voicing their opinion because they get tons and tons of money very nice and when he comes out he plays for the cameras and in subsidies but that is an over hes a tough guy. David good to see you curtis general it station of how thanks very much. Class is doing thus far and the well deadly and destructive tax cuts yet no doubt about it hurricane door january slamming weve seen an increase however it is still too soon to see the bahamas and inching towards whether thats going to be a sugar high or not. The east coast, plus a live well you look at the update from jacksonville, florida where the storm is employment numbers, the number expected to arrive at midnight of people working, wages are tonight. Well be speaking with mayor cur increasing, record low unemployment. Sure the farmers are hurting, ry, coming up and were on because of chinas retaliation, the ground in the bahamas where we are getting our first awful chinas actions but the farmers understand that we need to take on china. Are now bracing for Hurricane Dorian , which is expected to bring dangerous winds and life threatening storm surges. Dorian has now been downgraded to a category 2 storm but its windfield is growing in size, putting more people at risk, as it makes its way to the United States. Fox news chief meteorologist rick richmuth is standing by in the Weather Center and a cat 2 is nothing to be toyed with, right . Rick not at all and youre right when a storm that was wound so tightly with the strongest winds right at the center, that windfield, when the wind goes down that windfield expands as it goes out i just want to show you this. This is where we are in the Hurricane Season by the way. September 10 is the statistical peak of Hurricane Season were right in the very active stretch of it. Weve got five different systems out across the atlantic that were watching. The only one impacting the lower 48 is dorian. There is a little bit of moisture, but ill come from new storm fernand, but that is just rain maybe a little bit of flooding with it nothing super damaging. Nothing like what we seen in the bahamas images coming out are terrifying from what were see ing and were just beginning to get the images. This is the last 36 hours of the storm, finally, its moving out towards the north and this is a future radar simulation, what the models think the radar will look like Going Forward in time. Overnight tonight bringing very heavy rain and some wind, across Cape Canaveral and then towards daytona beach. Thats probably winds maybe in the 70mile an hour range, thats going to be probably the worst of it for florida, thankfully, as the center of the storm stays offshore. Georgia youll see some storm surge with this and certainly some strong winds, but probably the closest approach were going to get from the storm is going to be into South Carolina and North Carolina where the center of the storm is right offshore or maybe just right onshore, its going to bring a lot of rain, flooding with it and the storm surge that is probably going to be in the seven feet or so range, think matthew which was a few years ago took a very similar track to this and last year, david, parts of North Carolina and South Carolina got hit by hurricane florence, that brought record breaking flooding so here is another hurricane right on their shores. David . David rick, thank you very much. Well the most frightening thing about this storm so far is that its full fury as a cat 5 hovered over the bahamas for more than a day and a half relentlessly battering the islands ripping apart homes and shelters leaving at least five people dead. Cabbies you Weather National weather reporter is on the ground, in nassau of the bahamas with some new images of the devastation. Jonathan whats the scene on the ground there . Reporter good evening here in nassau they are really breathing a sigh of relief because the stop was far enough to the north that they didnt receive many of the effects of Hurricane Dorian. Just gusty wind, rain as well, but 100 miles from where i am, thats where dorian first made landfall a category 5, 185mile an hour sustained winds, gusts you can believe this, over 220 miles per hour. Thats the estimate, and from what i saw with my eyes today, i can believe it because the damage and what i am seeing on the ground there reminded me of ef4 and 5 tornado, just the way that the debris was stacked and homes were just blown away. Incredible, incredible stuff to see, and also, your hearts breaking because you know these folks have been there without anything for at least a couple of days and might be a little bit longer. Even though the coast guard from the United States has been out here, shuttling people back and fourth to the island, taking the worst injured and those in the most need here to nassau and there has been some aid a small amount at least getting to that island but if you see things here you can tell theres still a lot of standing water. The older homes that maybe arent wellbuilt or as strong as the new, larger homes, those likely are either a loss, or nearly catastrophically damaged but the bigger mansions appeared to fare a lotbuilding codes andn materials better, but even those took a battering and its not surprising when you think about the power of this storm abdomen also the surge. You can see the water on the land there around the entire island the airport is still covered in water so its going to be a very tricky situation to get aid to that island because it is in the middle of the atlantic and a lot of that is still on that island right now. Jonathan speaking of aid and people on that island what about the evacuation system and center s . What are you seeing now that some people moved off the island are they completely full or not that full because people opted not to leave . A lot of people are reaching out to me on social media after they saw the video, and theyre asking if i had flown over a certain key, or a certain island , and thats because they had family or friends that stayed there, so a lot of folks decided to stay and thats often the case in a hurricane unfortunately and i tell people this all the time when i go and talk to people right after a hurricane, that rode it out, as you were, not one person ive ever talked to say it was a good idea. They wish they would have left and unfortunately sometimes it takes going through that and surviving to understand just how terrifying this experience is and unfortunately this is a storm that moved so slowly these folks were dealing with 180mile per hour winds for well over a day to two days and of course grand bahama, which we havent been able to get to because of the proximity of the storm yet its likely a repeat of what youre seeing right there. David jonathan, stay safe my friend thank you very much for being here, appreciate it. Lets go to jacksonville, florida. Mayor lenny curry is joining us by phone. What does it look like now and are you still preparing for a hit . We just saw a computer model that showed it may possibly push onshore just where you are. Yeah, so its been a marathon we started tracking this thing pretty heavily last week. In fact late last week it looked like we were going to have a direct hi that was saturday or sunday and obviously that chang ed drastically the model slowed down and did terrible stuff it did to the bahamas. What weve seen in the last couple of days and today was it goes off to the east to the right going away from us and now its slightly coming back to us, but here is where we are right now. Regardless of if its under the current models give or take another five miles in either direction, we have to be prepared. We are prepared. People need to take this seriously. Matthew was off of our coastline three years ago, 50 miles off and we had major beach flooding, inland flooding, downed trees. This would be i believe is 90 miles off so we prepare for a water event. Mayor its John Layfield, thank you so much for coming on, we are pulling you like the rest of america. As far as your preparation work, mandatory evacuations what are you doing, sir, as far as the preparation itself to help jacksonville weather this incredible storm . Yeah, public works has been deployed since last week, above and beyond the normal clean drainage and make sure that the infrastructure is working and our utility is checking pump stations and putting things into mitigate problems theyve had in the past. Were coordinated with our other agencies, we meet regularly and our Emergency Operations center with our airport, ou
