Recipients of daca, the deferred action for childhood arrivals. Weve indicated to them led by chairman gracely, chairman of the Judiciary Committee were willing to enter into good faith negotiations but it simply does not advance the interest of these Daca Recipients to try to force us into a shutdown narrative. Liz but its not just the democrats it was President Trump who said to congress, get this daca deal done by the end of 2017, but lets go back to all of this when it comes to what the house and the senate have to do wednesday is now the key date for the meeting which means a floor vote could come thursday, pushing it all very close to the big lights out deadline which is 11 59 p. M. This friday night. That is sure to be a hot topic at the White House Press briefing. Sarah sanders is expected to take the podium at any moment. Will tax reform progress take a back seat to the governments near empty pockets and what about the Mueller Probe . Its about to breach the president s finances the special prosecutor wants in at Deutsche Bank to find out and you could bet reporters will ask about that plus fox news john roberts has just confirmed sanders will announce President Trump has made a decision on whether to move the American Embassy in israel from tel aviv to jerusalem so its a very hot political and touchy subject. Well take you live there as soon as it gets underway for that News Conference but on top of everything else, look at the markets lower ticker here the markets are showing the jitters here specifically the dow which has completely reversed from being up 59 points, now going head first down to we just hit session lows were down 88 points at the moment. The jitters are not just apparent on wall street lets head to d. C. Where House Speaker paul ryan is reportedly working furiously at this hour to bring together votes for passage of that Government Spending bill. Ryan getting shoved in a bunch of directions namely from his fellow gop members who do not want democrats in on the decision at all. Gop house members arguing among themselves about the length of the spending bill fighting over the date needed to push the shutdown deadline out and whether theyve got the 218 republican votes to do it. Weve been seeing that some members are saying they have it but the clock is ticking with this deadline, just three and a half days away so lets bring in somebody whose in the thick of it. Republican congressman from georgia Drew Ferguson on the house budget committee. Ill tell you something. Now im nervous, because if this goes to a house floor vote on thursday, dont you suspect that there could be anything that trips it up and suddenly, were looking at a possible Government Shutdown, explain to me why thats not going to happen. Well, first of all let me say this. This morning in conference, we had a very healthy discussion on this topic and i think it was very productive matter of fact i would say that was the single most productive Conference Meeting that we had. Liz why . A lot of different views out there and i believe well Reach Agreement within our own conference an that were going to push a spending bill that makes sense for america. Liz we have a big trouble here. Every morning, congressman, we meet in our what we call the editorial meeting for my Team Countdown and we have trouble deciding which was going to be more important today the Government Shutdown, friday night or tax reform and what kind of advances have been made and whether you and the senate have moved the ball. What do you think is the real chatter in the hallways of congress that makes it more important . Well i think were capable of doing both things but lets be clear. Tax reform for americans is front and center and it is the singlemost important thing that we need to accomplish and i believe that well do that and i believe that well find a way to clear the decks to make sure that happens and then were going to address spending right after that, but tax reform is front and center and were going to make sure we do everything we can to get that to the president before the end of the year. Liz i know that a lot of people want it and certainly republicans want it to show that they have a legislative win but it was yesterday that neil cavuto whom you know had said that Ronald Reagan came up with a tax reform plan and it took about a year to get passed. Here were looking at six weeks. I dont think that the government should have the wheel s rolling at a painfully slow speed but there is the question of rush and that is not coming from me. Thats coming from members of the Freedom Caucus where fox news caught up with mark meadows whose the chair of it and listen to what he said late last night. We need to make sure that all americans get the same kind of relief regardless of where they live. We need to make sure that means well have to address the salt issue and make sure thats in a final bill. Liz mark meadows does not want his state of california to be stuck with the elimination of the deduction. Will that not hold things up in this discussion . No, i think we can find a pathway forward on that. I think we all recognize that weve got to make sure that we get some sort of relief as far as salt goes. I think that we get there. I think that in conference, the bill moves more towards the house. The house version, i think theres some really good things in the senate bill and i think that this process is going to lead us to the right spot for america. This is really important that we get this right and there is a sense of determination and willingness on all parties to find the right solution here, so i dont think that these are impossible roadblocks. I think that its just going to take a little bit of patience and tremendous amount of effort to make sure we get the ball across the goal line and i believe that we will do that. Liz well, that is actual news when you say that you want to see some relief you from georgia want to see relief of salt and certainly i can tell you stuck in new york and new jersey, i grew up in california, its really weighing on a lot of people. They feel it would be a tax hike on them so you hold to them you think there will be relief on that . I think there will be because we recognize in some of the very high tax states like new york and new jersey and california its a real issue. For a state like georgia thats done a lot of things right to keep tax rates down were going to be fine down there but we certainly recognize that we want to make sure that every american sees the benefit of this tax reform and i believe that we will. Listen, this is an amazing step for america. When you think about what were doing not only for individual families but what were doing for the Business Community to make us competitive on the world stage to make sure that our Small Businesses are highly competitive in hiring people its going to be strong. Its going to be good and i believe we get it done. Liz lets not hold our breath though because weve got the Government Shutdown looming too thank you so much congressman good to have you. Thank you. Liz government running out of money speaking of money specifically, President Trump, there are conflicting reports at this hour about special Council Robert muellers investigation and its inquiry of Deutsche Bank about President Trumps financial dealings with that gigantic financial company. Charlie gasparino following the story, what are your sources saying, because i just heard that youve got Something Big here. Charlie well lets be shear john roberts is saying no subpoena was sent from muellers office the special prosecutor to Deutsche Bank which is the bank that donald trump and his personal dealings did a lot of work with and if that were the case, a subpoena of some sort, you would think that the special prosecutors expanding his investigation beyond the russian medaling to his personal to the president s personal stuff which everybodys always feared including the president. John roberts is saying theres no subpoena. I will just say this from what i understand there was a request for information. We asked Deutsche Bank for a statement on this and its pretty clear what they say. Deutsche bank takes its legal obligation seriously and remains committed to cooperating with authorized investigations into this matter, so essentially what you have here is this and this is often what prosecutors do even before they send a subpoena , they ask for a request for information. They just say give it to us or else well subpoena it, and i think thats where the difference is here because Deutsche Bank is all but confirm ing that theyve been in contact with the special Prosecutors Office and why is it a big thing . Again last week, liz, we reported that donald trump was telling Friends Associates he think hes clear of any sort of issues involving the russian medaling into the 2016 campaign. What friends of his told him at the time, that may be the case but mueller is expanding his investigation into your personal business dealings and who knows what hes going to come up with and that is the more what a lot of people say that are close to the president , the more existential threat and is that because donald trump is a crook . Im not saying that but all im saying is when you got someone looking at every one of your financial business dealings, conflicts of interest that steph gets merky, so here is what we know. John roberts is saying theres no subpoena. Deutsche bank seems to be suggesting that the special prosecutor is asking for information, the two are not mutually exclusive. This happens a lot in investigations. The sec calls up and says give me everything you got. Generally a Company Gives it to them and if they say no the sec will subpoena you same with prosecute ors so thats what we have here and if this is the case, as Deutsche Bank is suggesting, in its statement, what it means is this. This is a bigger investigation than just the russian probe. Theyre looking at other stuff and thats where it gets interesting. Donald trump has been asked in the past do you think mueller should go beyond the scope of what he was authorized at least initially to do which is look at the russian medaling and his campaigns working with russia in their alleged medaling of the 2016 campaign and he said i dont think mueller should go there so this raises the possibility if this is accurate that he might fire the special prosecutor and then, you know, were off to the races in terms of a whole other story here. So thats where we are right now Deutsche Bank is not denying that theyve had some contact with the special Prosecutors Office and have been asked for information and that is i could just tell you, that is perfectly logical in the context of no subpoena. You dont have to have a subpoena. Liz charlie thank you very much. Okay. Liz interrupt us if you get some type of confirmation. Charlie if i get some subpoena in my hand. Im not saying theres a subpoena, im only kidding. Liz great, hilarious, kidding. Okay charlie, thank you. Charlie have a little fun with this story. Its just the president of the United States. Liz i dont want any of them to crack at the moment, so one of them is the market folks. The low of the session now is down 97. We are down 89 after having touched that floor were still waiting on Sarah Sanders who at any moment will take the podium for the White House Press briefing but in the meantime the markets at this hour stock losses are accelerating back down into the close, the dow sitting near session lows one day after delivering its 64th record close of the year but looking at the percentage loss its only a third of a percent here. Blue chip index gets losing a little magical shine in large part thanks to disney, currently the biggest drag on the dow just crossing an hour ago the Financial Times reports that disney may be back to considering current 21st century fox ceo James Murdock to be the successor to disneys ceo, bob i ger. This following earlier reports that the two companies are getting closer to reaching a deal for foxs entertainment assets which could commas early as next week now potentially bringing under the same roof some of the biggest movie successes of the past few years including two very hot ones with cold names. Ice age from fox and frozen from disney. Get it . Get it . Hot names . Cold names . Checking off the stock reaction pretty hot for 21st century fox over the past couple of sessions , closer to a deal, a quarter of a percent right now and walt disney is slightly lower and theres this sirius xm and steve bannon making radio waves. Sirius getting a pop after they will launch a new daily week night show as well as additional weekend shows on siriusxm, and steve bannon will return as a regular post along with editor in chief alex marlow on the patriot channel so thats up 1. 5 now in the 5 range. Let us quickly go to some breaking news forgive me as i put on my glasses because its coming out of the state department. The state Department SaysPresident Trump will make a decision when he is ready on whether to move the u. S. Embassy and israel from tel aviv to jerusalem. Youre looking at live pictures of the spokesperson for the state department but exactly a week ago, we got a window into this happening. I had the honor to serve as the ecee event to honor a United Nations vote that took place 70 years ago back in 1947 that called for the establishment of a jewish state in the land of israel. Who was there . Vice president mike pence was in attendance and gave us this preview of what the Trump Administration is doing about the u. S. Embassy in israel. Listen. And while for the past 20 years, congress and successive administrations have expressed a willingness to move our embassy, as we speak, President Donald Trump is actively considering when and how to move the American Embassy in israel from tel aviv to jerusalem. Liz thats pretty definitive and the treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin was there and also in attendance was israels ambassador to the United Nations along with ronald lowder, a businessman and former u. S. Ambassador appointed by president Ronald Reagan but perhaps the loudest applaud applause while we were there was when mike pence shared the administrations heartfelt thoughts on americas current relationship with israel. If the world knows nothing else, the world will know this. America stands with israel. [applause] america stands with israel because her cause is our cause. Her values are our values, and her fight is our fight. Liz why is this all coming together at the moment . Well President Trump spoke with Palestinian Authority president today about his intention to move the u. S. Embassy in tel aviv to jerusalem and President Trump spoke with ease israeli Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu and the jordan king today likely about these intentions which of course are very very sensitive. What will this mean for the u. S. And its relationship with all these middle Eastern Countries . We do expect according to john roberts of fox news that we will get some clarity on that from Sarah Sanders in just moments, with 44 minutes now before the closing bell rings the dow is now down 92 points and what first started is kind of a middle day on wall street where the s p and the dow were kind of slightly but at one point i looked up around 10 30 and the dow was up five points and the s p was up a couple points. Now everything is in the red. The nasdac though had been down 23 and up 61, now you can see that it is stuck in the red at the moment, so on friday, the market fell 380 points because of the flynn fire storm but yesterday it downed back 300 points after the Senate Passed its version of the tax bill but is there all this to blame for the Market Action . Well one twitter follower of mine said yesterday, there might be someone else responsible and liz claman, you and gasparino are why the markets drop at the end of the day. So much drama, speculation, and hyperbole. Enbolden, i dont find drama. Drama finds me. I dont do it myself. Who should really be to blame for the market swings . Gasparino, me or Something Else lets get to the floor show and ask our traders. Who do you blame here . Me, charlie, somebody else . Blame it on like the jackson five set . I think you should get credit for all of t
