Farmers Market returns to Stroudsburg May 1

When the Monroe Farmers Market returns to Courthouse Square on May 1, it won’t just be the return of another place to buy produce, meats, baked goods and other locally made foods.
It means the return of a community gathering place, a Saturday morning routine, and the chance to meet vendors who care so much about their regular customers that they might get worried if you don’t come at the usual time.
The market has “incredibly loyal” customers, said Liz Balchin of Four Fields Farm, which sells mushrooms, meat and eggs. She is also the vice president of the market’s board.
