FALL RIVER — Parts of B.M.C. Durfee High School temporarily transformed into a film set on Tuesday for a short film starring a Fall River native.
“I feel very fulfilled. It almost has an element of closure to it, like I’m back where I started,” said Pamela Jayne Morgan, a Durfee alumna.
Morgan, who’s appeared in several independent movies, short films and TV shows, is starring in and serving as executive producer for "The Principal's Assembly.” She also conceived of the film’s plot, which revolves around a high school principal who decides to give a momentous speech to the student body after the death of one of her star students, at the cost of her mental health. Seth Chitwood, a reporter for the New Bedford Standard Times, wrote the film's script.
