A Wirral veteran is restoring old laptops to distribute to school children to help with remote learning, writes Rebecca McGrath.
Lee Anson, from Saughall Massie, has been collecting old and broken devices from people and fixing them up to donate to schools across Wirral.
The idea came about after Lee was left feeling disappointed with the Government’s response to children not having access to devices needed for remote learning.
He decided to set up a Facebook page where he has since been met with an influx of residents across the borough wanting to help.
Lee said: “The community support on the Wirral has been absolutely outstanding. We’ve had people volunteering to help us collect and drop off old laptops and we’ve even had one family who anonymously donated a brand new laptop.”
