Ex-President Jonathan Released N1.2billion In Cash To Fund Fayose's Election In Ekiti In 2014 — Ex-Minister, Obanikoro Tells Court

A former Minister of state for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, on Wednesday, told a Federal High Court in Abuja how former president, Goodluck Jonathan’s government used about N2.2billion to support the election of a former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose in 2014. According to the EFCC release on Wednesday evening obtained by SaharaReporters, the former lawmaker said N1.219billion cash was airlifted to Ekiti State because of the inability of a defunct bank, Diamond Bank, to handle huge amounts of such money.
