Gavin Newsom and launched a website announcing his own potential candidacy. Palihapitiya, a former Facebook executive who is now the CEO of venture capital firm Social Capital and a minority stakeholder in the Golden State Warriors, has not filed any forms with the California's Secretary of State Office or taken any other concrete steps toward running for office.
