Met dank overgenomen van Europese Commissie (EC), gepubliceerd op woensdag 16 december 2020. The first European Solidarity Corps Report, published today, covers the period October 2018-December 2019, i.e. the first 15 months of implementation of the European Union's new programme dedicated to supporting the engagement of young people in solidarity activities. Following a preparatory phase (2017/2018), the programme began its autonomous existence in October 2018. By the end of the following year, nearly a quarter of a million young people from across the EU and other participating countries (Iceland, North Macedonia and Turkey), as well as from partner countries (Norway and Liechtenstein, the Western Balkans, the Eastern Partnership countries, South-Mediterranean countries and the Russian Federation) registered their interest in joining the Corps.
