Addis Ababa, Jan 15 (Prensa Latina) Ethiopia thanked China for its support in the fight against Covid-19 and mitigating the economic impacts caused by the pandemic, which has killed more than 2,000 people in the country so far.
'We thank the government and companies, including the Jack Ma Foundation, for their collaboration in the fight against the global scourge,' Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen said during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Zhao Zhiyuan.
Mekonnen expressed his hopes that Chinese authorities will consider alleviating the debt of some projects affected by the global economic situation, in order to help the State continue its growth.
