The Chair and leader of the Convention People’s Party, Nana Frimpomaa has made her concerns known at the workshop organized by the CODEO on the need for the Electoral Commission of Ghana to employ a robust and trusted software capable of collating data from the 38,000 polling stations during elections. She added that it is just not right to allow media houses to control data on elections in Ghana as this has caused too many election violence and created credibility issues with the Electoral Commission. Nana Frimpomaa said it is absurd that after 64 years of independence, we still have the same source of data giving very different fiqures at collation centres such that even the Electoral Commission had on several occasions changed their own verified and certified data put out on thier website for public consumption.
