Elijah Smith Elementary School is set to donate a large amount of food to the Whitehorse Food Bank as a result of a school-wide contest. Councillor Patrick Whyard says he's had long hair for quite some time, so a challenge was issued to the students. "For every hundred cans brought in, the school would cut off an inch. I think the students went above and beyond in collecting food and in turn, we went above and beyond in inches that are due to come off."
