Edmonton police will officially move into the new northwest campus on March 1, following construction delays.
Following a two-year delay and a new roof that was completed in December after numerous leaks were found, the $119.7-million building is finally ready to open.

“The new northwest campus gives us more opportunities to improve public and officer safety,” said Edmonton police Chief Dale McFee in a news release.
“While we can respond more effectively to crime in northwest Edmonton, we can also give our newest officers additional opportunities to train in an integrated community policing environment. By combining our business areas, from training to the frontline, we can create new synergies between staff and have a more comprehensive approach to the service we provide to the public.”
