Editorial: Irish mortgage holders need banks to back up ECB

The decision of the European Central Bank to cut its three main interest rates by 25 ­basis points, the first cut since rates began to increase in July 2022, is a welcome decision which must be passed on to struggling mortgage holders in particular.
