EA completes Codemasters acquisition

Electronic Art's (EA) acquisition of Codemasters has been officially completed.
The video game giant has closed the deal for $1.2 billion - well above the price previously offered by Take-Two.
To celebrate the takeover deal, EA wrote on Twitter: "We're excited to welcome @Codemasters to the EA family! (sic)"
Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson also hailed the significance of the move via a press statement.
He said: "This is the beginning of an exciting new era for racing games and content as we bring together the talented teams at Electronic Arts and Codemasters.
"Our teams will be a global powerhouse in racing entertainment, with amazing games for players on every platform, and we can't wait to get started."
