'We are the 24-hour party people' - The Met takes part in global New Year celebration

THE Met will play its part in hosting the UK’s biggest New Year’s Eve event this week.
Billed as “a 24-hour spectacular”, The NYE Hacienda House Party will see DJs and live acts perform online from 10am on New Year’s Eve until 10am on New Year’s Day as the legendary Manchester nightclub sees off a miserable year in style.
Several of the acts will broadcast live from The Met on the United We Stream website including local legends like Graeme Park, DJ Paulette, Sub Sub, Justin Robertson and a brand new piece from the Hacienda Classical featuring the Manchester Camerata.
