Its more worry its more uncertainty and people just kind of feel like you know its going to be 4 more months of worry 4 more months of wondering whats going to happen next so its not really any kind of a solid answer its an answer that leads to more questions what has been happening there on the ground because you know we we have reports in the past year there has been this surge in violence especially targeted killings among civilians among among women in among you know civil society groups people like journalists judges for example walk us through whats been happening there on the ground and what its been like for civilians. This is exactly the pres like now were at a state where like ill give you an Example Couple months ago i traveled to logout province which is about 40 minutes south of kabul and that province has always been unstable its always been into care its always been plagued with. Poverty but and in the past when we would go to logout we would be afraid of mines along the way and the irony is this time when we came back to kabul the driver said welcome back to kabul the land of landmines and. So thats really how badly the situation has changed to the point where the city of kabul feels just as unsafe as any other province in the country right now and you know 2 other provinces that have spent a lot of time in over the last couple years ning are in the east hate often the west both have become remarkably. Safe over the last couple years with there are we have the city of jalalabad becoming less and less safe as the socalled islamic state forces move away from the district and more towards the provincial capital and then in the city of herat we have in the province of it out we have both the provincial capital the city becoming unsafe and districts that were you know no problem to go to only a year and a half 2 years ago becoming complete no go zones and these are 2 of the biggest most important commercial economic cobbs of the country that are becoming less and less secure along with kabul ok so really had to tarry writing Security Situation that youre describing there and tell us also about i mean you know there are thousands of afghans who have helped the u. By other countries that they helped that they would be brought in that they would be given visas but there are so many letter still waiting and they are under threat obviously from the taliban there are some who left their posts in the military who also feel under threat from the military and from the government they feel under threat of a rise with these targeted killings that you know people are claiming responsibility for that creates even more fear for them of who could kill them who could arrest them. And clearly you know its a very real issue and its something that you know as the u. S. Is ending its longest war here it also has to take responsibility for the people that work for them that put their lives in danger and that are out risk every moment that theyre in this country to provide them some kind of assistance and actually bring them to the United States as they promised.
