Dublin City Council weighs up curfew for Portobello Plaza

It’s one of the ideas being mooted to combat issues around street drinking there.
The Local Authority installed a temporary fence around the canal-side square for the weekend, but it has since been removed.
Dublin Lord Mayor Hazel Chu says they are starting a consultation on the future of the area:
"I proposed a curfew of a certain hour to the Gardaí," she explained.
"It could be 10 o'clock or a little bit earlier, or a little bit later, but in consultation with the residents.
"It is a residential area, but there is a public plaza there. We would also want to make sure there were proper facilities in place.
