Dragon 'taller than a double-decker bus' is coming to Plymouth
As part of Mayflower 400 commemorations into 2021, the world’s first flying puppet of its type, The Hatchling, will emerge later this year

Standing at over 6.5metres tall, The Hatchling is the largest ever puppet to be solely human operated. And this August, she will soar the streets of Plymouth.
In an 'extraordinary outdoor performance' aiming to bring a universal myth to life, she will roam through the city before taking flight in a unique feat of artistry and engineering.
Designed in collaboration with a paleontologist, she will be the largest ever flying creature, surpassing the size of the prehistoric pterosaur on which she is based.
