Domestic output rises, coal imports dip 40% in April-December | India Business News

India Business News: Domestic coal production and supply have led to a 40% dip in coal imports for blending at power plants in the April-December period. Despite a 10% increase in thermal generation, coal import for blending decreased to 17 million tonnes from 28.7 million tonnes in the previous corresponding period. This indicates a reduced dependence on imported coal for power generation in India.
