However, it wasn't part of the scene when it all started fifteen years ago. During that first year, Grant Hafley, of AVC Communications, thought it would be nice if there was something extra added to draw more visitors to town. He had spent time in Arizona, where Christmas lights were more popular than Christmas trees so wondered if lights on the courthouse might be a nice attraction. Grant, an electrical engineer, had designed flashing light shows from control boards for area dances in past years. Joel Losego, a student from Buckeye Trail, helped him and learned so much from Grant.
