settlement with a woman, lauren green, one of his staffer, former staffers, who said she was harassed in his office. he said yesterday he's going to pay that money back. that was taxpayer money. so far, he has no plans to resign. we're still waiting to hear from republican leadership on where they stand on whether this should merit a resignation. house speaker small ryan called for conyers to resign in the wake of these multiple allegations against him. there's also a democratic congressman from nevada, congressman cuen, who has faced calls from nancy pelosi and the head of the committee that's charged with getting democrats elected to the congress, that he should step down, after a woman accused him of harassing her during the election campaign, so clearly this is an issue capitol hill's really grappling with. >> kacie hunt for us on capitol hill, kacie, thanks, as always. joining me now to talk both about the moore and connier stories. nicholas, reporter for "the new york times". peter sudorman, futures
