tonight's record $1.5 billion powerball drawing has been the talk of the nation this week, and that extends to the campaign trail. a supporter handed jeb bush what turned out to be a losing ticket before the last drawing. it also came up in an interview with the vice president on the "today" show. my colleague asked him if there was any scenario that would mobilize a biden 2016 campaign. >> i've learned never to say "no," but i can't imagine one. i can't imagine one. if i win the lottery maybe. a billion, maybe. everybody said i can retire. that's a joke. >> the most striking point, the powerball jackpot at $1.5 billion actual probably wouldn't quite be enough money to run a successful primary and general election campaign. barack obama spent just over $1.5 billion the last time. we'll be right back.
