and the state is the most in doubt out of the 50. so you've got a lot of cost-cutting going on, at the same time, you had this massive influx of low income people from the public housing developments into the new neighborhoods and the crime began to surge. and you had a lot of anger in the police department over the job cut backs. the fop was quite upset about that. that colors everybody's perceptions. i've had police officers calling me to talk about how the statistics have been monkeyed with, and that's the sort of thing that's not good overall for the kind of law enforcement or public perceptions that crime is improving. >> it's a difficult city to be a mayor of. having lived there as a city, it's a city i loved. >> there's no candidate rising up right now who poses a challenge to rahm emmanuel. >> we're going to see that race will be very interesting. thank you so much.
