because i know i won't be. >> but lacy has found a way to involve herself in her kids' lives. she's taking part in a new program at the jail where mothers are recorded on dvd reading books. the dvds are then sent to their children at home. and today lacy and one other inmate danielle valezuela are taking part in a reading event to promote the program. their participation comes with a substantial benefit. they will get to hug their children. >> give me a kiss, papi. [ laughter ] >> many visits in maricopa only take place over video monitors. others occur in person, but the inmates are handcuffed to a table and not permitted to touch their loved ones. but today, lacy will be handcuff-free. >> my baby, huh.
