thanks to all of you. while the republicans are ratcheting up attacks, the economy is showing more signs of a recovery. legendary newsman dan rather on what that could mean for the campaign coming up next. rick perry didn't get a lot of air time during this weekend's debates but he got just enough to get in a major headline and give him credit, good joke. saturday he told americans he would send troops back into iraq even though polls show three out of four americans favor the withdrawal. sunday he gave everybody a laugh playing off of his old oops moment from last month. >> let me answer the question that you asked earlier. what are the three areas that you would make some reductions if people would feel pain and i would tell you it would be those bureaucrats at the department of commerce and energy and education that we're going to do away with.
