alzheimer's and he didn't recognize his own children but there were two things he never forgot. his prayers and his good manners. and he could still say the our father and the hale mary. i remember my son, luke russert. he went up to luke once and said you're a good-looking guy, are you one of my sons? >> adorable. >> he was so -- he was just the most warm and lovely guy. he was also, because he was so enthusiastic and so good looking, people didn't realize he was also a great intellect, very deeply grounded. early civil rights leader in chicago. and he took all of the sort of intellectual preparation he had and he put it into action. and so for us, he's like george washington for all the peace corps volunteers around the world. we're going to miss him.
